NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE ANNOUNCES JAKKS AGREEMENT

Charlotte, NC: The National Wrestling Alliance is pleased to
announce that it has entered into a licensing agreement with JAKKS Pacific
for NWA Legends action figures. The five-year deal a...lso covers other products
that the parties might look to market in the future.

"Having the opportunity to partner with an industry-leader like JAKKS
Pacific is very exciting for us", said NWA Executive Director Robert K. Trobich.
"The NWA brand has always stood for the best in professional wrestling, and I
think this agreement shows that our brand continues to be recognized as a
signature of quality." Mr Trobich added, "I also want to thank Fred
Rubenstein of the NWA Board of Directors for being instrumental in putting this
agreement together."

JAKKS Pacific, Inc. is a multi-brand company that, since 1995, has been
designing, developing, producing and marketing toys, leisure products and
writing instruments for children and adults around the world.

Who the heck is Jakks gonna make figures of under the NWA banner? I know the kids want the Adam Pearce figure, lol.

Oh well, at least it'll be satisfying to a lot of 35-year-old virgins that collect action figures.

So does this mean we'll be seeing a line of old timey dead 'rassler dolls who don't need to be compensated for use of their image?

I'm surprised Mark Nulty never thought of this...

I would doubt it. Haven't most of the those guys already signed up a WWE Legends contract for merch?

Not the dead guys.  When the used the phrase "legends" in the announcement, i was thinking of dolls for guys like Carpentier, O'Connor, Thez, Kiniski, KVE, etc. (assuming all those guys are dead).

Me too. Add Jerry Brisco,  Dory Funk Jr., Eduardo Miguel Perez, Buddy Rogers, Octavian "The Hoots" Malehoots, etc.

Eduardo Miguel Perez is not dead.  He just did an indy show in Kansas.  Get your facts straight before you start ugly rumors.

WWE hasn't done a KVE figure yet?

Maybe I'll finally get my Bruce "Hangman" Pobanz figure.  You hang in there, and things pay off.

I wonder if they can do a "Organizers of Fanfest" series and make a Greg Price doll (wouldn't be an action figure trust me).

Jack Brisco has a WWE one already.

As does Harley Race, Ric Flair, The Shiek, Bruiser Brody, Barry Windham, Lex Luger, Tully and Arn, Jimmy Valiant, Killer Kowalski, etc...

There could be Ole Anderson and  James J Dillion figures. I'd love to finish my Four Horsemen collection!
