As much as I like World Class, my favorite has to be Southwest Championship Wrestling.

I have never seen Amarillo (probably very little footage is around.)

I know that I definitely liked Southwest better than World Class when both were on TV in '83. I was so mad when Southwest was replaced by All-American. To be honest, I never really warmed up to World Class even during its "hot" period. Even when Southwest came back later on local TV on a Spanish feed as a shell of itself in '86, I enjoyed watching it more than World Class.

Southwest was the best for a short time, but WCCW was consistently good for 3 years.

Fritz took over the Amarillo towns so there MIGHT be some Amarillo footage in the World Class collection now owned by Vince.

Never saw much World Class except the repeats years later on ESPN.  I loved Southwest Championship.  GWF had to be the most dogshit fed I have ever seen.

Texas All-Star or Global.  They were just more fun than Southwest and World Class, to me anyway.

For the first six months or so, Global was great. Then it slowly became a train wreck but I still liked it for that reason. Where else could you see a character like Crybaby Buxton or a bungee match?

Michael Hayes is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time. He was a heat seeker. Gordy was extremely talented in the ring. Buddy Roberts was the perfect third cog.
