Good, bad or ridiculous?

Discuss.

Assuming he's healthy enough to make his return, of course it's good. He's their #1 guy.

Good.

Very good.  They were kinda between a rock with their options for Mania previously.  Now, the choice is a little easier to make.

You know, if it's me, judging by the reaction he got last night, I do this, tonight.

Have him come out to open the show, mention that of course by winning RR he has a title shot against Orton.  But say that he gets a shot anyway because he was champ before and never lost, and he wants Orton tonight.  Make the match, Cena wins, he's champ, and have HHH with Elim Chamber next month to set up HHH/Cena for WM again.

Something like that may well happen.  I also think there may be an injury angle tonight to let him continue to rehab for another month or so.

I dont think they can afford to have him off TV for something like that.  Momentum he's got after last nite is huge.  We'll see tho.

He's just about the only guy who gets a legitimate reaction.  It's not always the reaction they want, but it's a reaction.  His surprise appearance blew the roof off of MSG and then the fans went right back to booing him against HHH, but it was a move jovial booing than usual.  He's the guy everyone loves to hate and a slight gimmick change with a harder edge or (gasp) an improvement in his wrestling skills could win people over.  Besides, there's no other option so it's Cena or bust.

He has the capability to be better. He was better in the ring as The Prototype and in his first couple WWE matches (particularly, I'm thinking of Armageddon 2002 vs. Jericho). If the "Producers" would let him cut loose I think we'd see a big in-ring improvement.

Like him or hate him, he gives  everyone something to talk about
on the message boards, Tuesday morning. And, if he takes away
camera time from Hornswoggle, that's a good thing.

You almost nailed it. Cena vs Orton for the next PPV with Trips in the elimination chamber in a battle for the Title shot at Mania.

Cena sure handles the boos and you suck chants better than Shawn Michaels did in the mid 90s.

I was at the Rumble live Sunday night and the Cena reception was huge. Cheers and Boos.... However any opportunity to divert attention off of Triple H is a good thing.Watching his early tapes as the Prototype,Ohio Valley and his initial Vanilla Ice rapper deal and what his current persona has morphed into ,improvement is definitely noted. Two fears I do have will be his return to pumping up his sneakers and a Cena/Triple H main event at WM 24.

The Cena-Orton promo at the beginning of Raw was putrid, aside from Cena deftly handling the haters. The run in at the end was good, though, especially JBL slithering out on Orton.
