I always have enjoyed these because as at a glance you can tell when a territory was at it's best as well as when it was in decline.

ManOf1000holds and Clawmaster have been working seemingly tirelessly for our entertainment, spilling out years and years of research to us all in a matter of weeks in the "Ask The Clawmaster" forum.

Were you aware that the "Pick A Card" fun was going on back at Kayfabememories?

You can check out Mr Florida himself ManOf1000Holds' and Clawmaster's "Pick A Card" on a daily basis at http://www.infinitecore.com/superstar/index.php?forumid=10&page=0#pager

If you lost Kayfabememories through system crashes or server changes the main board can be found at http://www.infinitecore.com/superstar/index.php?a=cat

If you don't have a Kayfabe account, now is a good time to join. The board has been rebounding well in recent years and manof1000holds, wesdaniel, tamalie or Ron would be happy to assist you if you have trouble registering. If you are from Crazymax or the Aimoo Sports Trading board, you may have never seen the site. The site forum set-up allows you the fan to ask territory-specific questions about the exact and actual wrestling that you watched growing up ...and get an answer.

Kayfabememories !

It's a fine feature.   I wish Moth wouldn't tell us his pick until after both guys post their records, though.

Recently, I haven't been able to log on at KM.  So, I started a new account using the name matt41277...  KM was my main board from 2000-late 2003.  Then, I caught up with everyone and went to OSW, then here.

I just can't co-exist with CM.  I'd call him a cunt the very first time he responded to me and I'd get banned.  It amazes me that I put up with him as long as I did the first time around.

I hate to be a dick or call a spade a spade but in all fairness, NOBODY in the history of KM has EVER been banned for calling CM anything at all.  It sounds like an inferiority complex.  People on KM call CM out frequently.

It depends how you do it.  I called him out a million times back in the day.  But now I'm done, I'd just call the cunt a cunt and be done with it.

Hey-wish I had seen this thread earlier. Makes sense to me, Gang.

Beej-thanks for the very kind words. Claw and I dig out the results and cards, but the credit should go to guys like Robert Van Kavelaar, Terry Justice, Dave Meltzer, Miek Rodgers, Michael Bauman, and many others. A big thanks also to everyone who takes the time to join us day in and day out for these Pick-A-Card threads.

Rossi-can't think of one occasion where CM has instigated an issue on these threads. I'm thinking if you join us that won't change.

I seldom if ever respond to these but never miss reading them.  Love the memories of a time past I loved.

What say you rossi, seems fair to me, give it a shot? What have you got to lose?

It's been five months since I invited Rossi to join us. My guess is he's got better things to do.

Just wondering beej what some of your assessments are of the territory as far as its ups and downs.  I have an opinion on what I feel is "better talent" at various points but there are always other ways to look at what is considered successful.  I like to look at artistic successes and others are looking at attendance and bottom line gates.   One doesn't necessarily mean the other.

For example the period where Louie Tillet is booked to victories in the early 70s under his own pencil don't thrill me for the most part.

I consider the mid/late 70s the peak. I'm floored by the results from about 1974-1982. Broad range but if I had to pick a single year I would say 1976 is the peak.

Hard to argue with Brisco, Rhodes, Graham, Funk, Shane, The Assassin and Colt ( I know they don't all fit in exactly from 1974-1982) and all kinds of bloody gimmick matches ~ they liked having those "Lights Out" and "unsanctioned" matches. I liked the foreign heel gimmicks. NWA title matches held with regularity in the territory.

For me at least (only my opinion) once Dusty and Sullivan do their angle in 82/83 and Windham does his "Yellow Dog" schtick (1984? maybe) it is all over for the territroy after that. Great heels like Shane, Funk and Colt basically aren't around anymore and there were too many "blah" guys  left ~Ron Bass (who I never "got") the Zambuie Express, Jesse Barr

Can't comment on the 60s and I am far from an expert on Florida wrestling. ANd I couldn't tell you what did well at the gate. Just my perception as a fan.
