I think so. No way he wins Sunday.

And I doubt Orton does a job Sunday (having submitted to Flair's figure four on RAW)

I guess I expected more. Was that it?

I'm still holding out hope that he wins Sunday and retires himself

Flair will not be retired, whether or not he wins Sunday. I expect him to enter a Foley-esque retirement; he'll be gone most of the time with the occasional run. Or he could be an agent, backstage hand or even a manager type.

I have a feeling that this match is going to FEEL way better than it will actually be. As it happens, we'll think it's awesome, but it won't exactly have a lot of rewatchability. Should be really emotional. But what else can Flair do besides weak chops, back drops and a low blow? Maybe a mule kick, maybe a chop block. This match will seem great because Michaels will bump like crazy for Flair's shitty offense, Flair will bump like crazy for Michaels' offense (all of Flair's bumps seem crazy now because it's hard to get over the fact he's old and decrepit) and the story is golden. I just think once cooler heads analyze the match it won't stack up. Who knows, I hope I'm wrong. If anybody can get one last, great match out of Flair, it's Michaels.

I don't see how they CAN beat Flair Sunday.

Mania isn't a place for Downers, and that will be one BIG bummer.

They pinned Hogan, they will pin Flair also.

I wouldn;t be too sure.  The comparison is apples to oranges, too - I dont think they knew for sure the reaction to Hogan/Rock would be what it was.  And Hogan/Warrior, the crowd was about 50/50.

This - the crowd will be 100% behind Flair, no question, and they know that.

Crowd reaction with each Flair win of late has been off the charts everywhere.  To have that kind of negative at Mania can't be what they'd consider ideal.  I think they've painted themselves into a corner.

This makes me even more sure that Flair will get beaten. I can't explain it properly so I won't try.

Also it will put more of a focus on the winner of the Main Event being the star of the show. Flair-Michaels isn't going on last, is it? Unless it is, Flair winning would probably overshadow any sort of "feel-good" moment that the maine vent winner would bring to the table by winning the title. Since I expect Cena to win, if i was booking, Flair loses.

If that doesn't seem logical, remember that this is WWE booking we're talking about, so logic has to be given only partial merit in coming up with a plan. :)

All the smart fans know that Flair is retiring after WrestleMania, so Flair, as tradition demands, goes out on his back. Just like we knew RVD would lose his last match...

I hope Vince doesn't think the internet fans deserve to be swerved and Flair gets the win. Wrestlemania is the only stage for him to have his last bow, but something says to me he will win, and have his last match on Raw the next night against Triple H or Vinnie Mac.

I haven't watched Raw in a loooong time up until last night and completely lost it when Flair brought out the NWA belt. IMO, Wrestlemania will be his last match. Hopefully he can wear that belt to the ring one last time. I just don't see him continuing as an active wrestler. I really don't see him retiring as a champion unless it was with the NWA title, which nowadays would be the NWA's wet dream. I think he will beat Michaels and retire on Sunday. It just doesn't make sense to have one of the greatest wrestlers ever lose to anyone on his last match. Win the match, retire, done.

Does anyone *really* retire in wrestling?
