I got the new Triple H DVD, and while I wasn't expecting an unbiased detailing of his career I wasn't expecting a "have the guy talk about stuff in between matches" presentation like the latest Stone Cold set.

Some of the new additions to WWE Revised History are hilarious:

1. Chyna is now some chick HHH/HBK met at the bar after the show rather than someone who trained with Hunter.

2.  HHH left the X-Pac/NAO version of DX because it was just his time to be a superstar, and not because Vince Russo thought it would be WACKY~! for him and Chyna to turn as many times as possible.

3. The wedding angle was just a crazy idea Chyna came up with that he pitched to Vince, and he had no idea that Vince would want him and Steph to be paired up long term.

It was funny to hear HHH and JR do commentary over HHH's first pro match. JR kept busting balls over the payoff which I'm sure is a reference to the incident the two had when JR got his eye damaged for life over a potato shot just because Hunter was mad about a payoff.

I don't know why they stopped doing the documentaries, they were usually the best part of all the DVDs so far. Having the subject just sit there and talk makes it come off like a boring shoot video with better production.

There is no way in hell that I could sit through a HHH DVd set.  Just the thought makes me want to cringe.

I have to admit that I had ZERO interest in this thing.

Is there anything on it worth getting? Extras? Features?

From what I hear it's done like Flair's in that he talks about the match you're about to see but there's no formal biography part.  I'd probably be open to getting Disc 1 on NetFlix to see his early stuff again and hear his comments, but no way am I sitting through anything post-2000, which I'm sure is almost the whole thing.

You really have to wonder about HHH and Chyna (though the thought grosses me out).  He went from digging a steroid-gobbling half-man (Chyna) to a very good looking girl (Steph), but this gets kind of glossed over.  I think Monica Brant (Fitness champ) or Marla Duncan (same) are hot, but not the last 20 Ms. Olympias.  The juice is some nasty stuff, and you've really got to have your kink on to get into that shit.

The HHH set is almost exactly like the latest Austin DVD, just him talking about stuff with matches in between. Pretty much the only extra is the footage of his first ever match (he says on commentary he found the tape in a box moving stuff while he was remodeling his house). It's not terrible, you're just left with a feeling of "wow, that could have been a lot better" after you watch it.

One funny part is how he's talking about how he and Edge have been in the WWE forever and barely interacted, which of course is because Edge makes an effort to not be on the same show as Hunter so he won't become cannon fodder.

Another thing that gets glossed over is how Steph gained bulk and had her voice drop like she just got a pair of balls once her and Hunter got together.

HHH may have more lies and rewrites woven into his backstory than the Hulkster.

...nah.

Seriously, though, I would have loved it if the DVD included some of H's 2000 TV title defenses against Taka Michinoku, Taz and Rikishi (all from Smackdown, I believe). Plus, I hear there's very little HHH-Rock? That's a crime. They should've included the RAW bit where HHH busted open Rock with the knux and Rock bled like a wildebeast.
