CelebrityNetworth.com has published an article listing the richest professional wrestlers in the world, with figures acquired from all publicly available information including salaries, real estate holdings, divorces, record sales, royalties and endorsements. The estimated net worths come from a formula that takes out taxes, manager's fees, agents' fees, and lifestyle. The list states:
1. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's net worth – $70 million
2. Steve Austin's net worth – $45 million
3. John Cena's net worth – $35 million
4. Big Show's net worth – $30 million
5. Triple H's net worth: $25 million
6. Kurt Angle's net worth – $20 million
7. Chris Jericho's net worth – $18 million
8. Shawn Michaels' net worth – $17 million
9. The Undertaker's net worth – $16 million
10. Mick Foley's net worth – $15 million
11. Bret Hart's net worth – $14 million
12. Edge's net worth – $14 million
13. Brock Lesnar's net worth – $12.5 million
14. Goldberg's net worth – $12 million
15. Batista's net worth – $10 million
16. John "Bradshaw" Layfield's net worth – $9 million
17. Rey Mysterio's net worth – $8.5 million
18. Kevin Nash's net worth – $8 million
19. CM Punk's net worth – $7.5 million
20. Jerry Lawler's net worth – $7 million
21. Randy Orton's net worth – $6 million
22. Alberto Del Rio's net worth – $6 million
23. Hulk Hogan's net worth – $5 million
According to the article, Hogan lost an estimated $25 million in his divorce from ex-wife Linda. She was awarded 70% of the couple's liquid assets, a 40% stake in all of Hogan companies, six luxury cars and millions more in property.
24. Ric Flair's net worth – $5 million
25. The Miz' net worth – $5 million
26. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's net worth – $4 million
27. Chyna's net worth: $1.5 million
Plus, WWE chief Vince McMahon's net worth is listed as $500 million while deceased grappler Randy Savage's is $8 million.

Miz and Del Rio's net worth surprised me. JBL's was a lot less than I thought it would be. Shocked to see Flair even on the list.

I knew Hogan still had some of his fortune. Shocked it's that little, though.

amazing if thats even near to close to reality, wonder what the wealthiest wrestler of the 70's was worth in comparison , though the Rock and Austin , maybe Cena too , have most of their worth from movies

though I see that

The estimated net worths come from a formula that takes out taxes, manager's fees, agents' fees, and lifestyle
so Flair could be worth 50 mil ?  50 mil - lifestyle = 5 mil

Buddy Rose got millions just for wrestling under a mask in the opening match at Wrestlemania.

I was there, true story!

Honestly most of those figures seem very inflated.  The listed criteria is claiming omniscience about everything from manager's fees to "lifestyle" and only going off of "publicly available" info.  They have no way of knowing if JBL bought Amazon stock at 1.50 in 1995 and sold it at 80 in 1999 and they don't know if Rey Misterio lent his cousin Jose $1,000 to start a taco stand and he turned it into a million dollar company.  Seems like a lot of guess work based on limited info to me.  Other than Hogan and Flair, who had the high-profile divorces and itemized lists of assets strewn all across the Internet, we don't know the intimate details of these other guys' finances.

I was surprised Kurt Angle is listed so high. Also Big Show seems to have done very well. I wonder where Mark Henry is at?

Not buying most of these figures. Flair's net worth is probably in the negative. I could see a guy like big show doing well though. Not that well though.

And if that money was invested wisely(before the crash of 08) I could see him having that much

I wonder how much Bret Hart's net worth would be if he probably didn't have to lend any to family members?

You shouldn't buy any of those figures. It's complete bullshit.

I could see The Rock's net worth being close to legit.

The top 5-15 could easily be very legit.

Foley has book deals, Hart has his outside stuff, Austin has Hollywood deals, Jericho has Fozzy plus TV money, HHH has not only his salary but also class B WWE stock and that paid good dividends for years, HBK has TV show and other commercial interests, Lesner has shitloads of WWE money, plus his monies made from UFC, Edge has TV and outside interest money coming in as well

The ones below the top,15 could be bullshit though, but the top 15 is plausible

From Meltzer's update yesterday,

-- There is a story on the richest pro-wrestlers in the world. Don't take it too seriously.

--------------

Dave has a bunch more about this on his message board. I could copy and paste some of it if you want.
