Marvin Lambert, who wrestled for Combat Zone Wrestling and IWA Mid-South, as well as other independent promotions as Brain Damage, passed away in the last day. We don't have much in the way of details other than it was self-inflicted, according to numerous people we've heard from.
Lambert was originally trained by Toby Klein and was from Cleveland, Ohio. He was a hell of a brawler and often competed in death matches. When he was in his best shape, there was something of a "Terminator" look to him and he came across like a beast you didn't want to mess with.
Lambert initially broke into the independent scene locally before branching out into Ian Rotten's IWA Mid-South. He moved onto CZW in 2005 and was in and out of the promotion until last year, holding the promotion's Iron Man and Ultraviolent Underground championships. In September 2007, he won the Tournament of Death - Fast Forward event.
Lambert showed a hell of a lot of promise as a talent and a personality, but then quietly disappeared from the scene. There were a lot of rumors that he was dealing with some personal issues but nothing concrete.
To the best of my knowledge, Lambert's last match was in July 2001, defeating Matt Tremont for CZW.
Our deepest condolences to Lambert's friends and family during this horrible time.

Hopefully the idiot companies that still allow shots to the head will finally realize that its doing far more damage then just concussions and will put a stop to it.

Well his name is Brain Damage.  Maybe just trying to live the gimmick.

With zero information, it's silly to speculate on why he might've killed himself.  Guys who go into indy death match wrestling probably have some problems in the first place.  There's about 75-100 guys left on the planet who think it's a good idea to slice yourself with barbed wire and smash yourself with light tubes for $10 and a Bud with absolutely no chance of ever making it in your chosen profession because WWE will never come calling for those types of guys.  So the decision-making isn't there in the first place.  Even though it's the sexy thing to talk about, people do still kill themselves for non-concussion-related reasons all the time.  Let's see what comes out in the next few days.

The former NFL players that filed a class action lawsuit disagree with you.

Especially the families of the ones who committed suicide.  And lets not forget a short armed wrestler who many feel, shots to the head contributed to his murdering his wife and choking out his own son.

Disagree with what?  I didn't say anything except let's wait for the facts.  So if they would disagree with that, they're kinda idiots.

Any wrestling fed that still allows shots to the head(and yes TNA is in that group), are morons.
