Can't remember much about him.  I just remember him jobbing in the WWF.  If the hype was there, it never made it to TV.

no, but as the article says Vince was parading around telling everyone he was gonna be the next champion

he ended up having a few jobber matches and that was it

next champ to hardly used jobber surely qualifies him for this thread

Chris von Erich.  Obviously we know the only reason he got hyped, and even as a kid realized he didn't deserve it, but that was a sad story.

The guy on WCW who was Van Hagar or something like that.  He had a heavy medal gimmick.

You're talking about "Heavy Metal" Van Hammer.  And you can't forget his unbelievable feud with Cactus Jack soon after he debuted in WCW.

P.N. News seemed to be pushed heavily in WCW but got no reaction at all from the crowd.

Not sure you want to call this a flop but Honky Tonk Man as a face?

I read this title and only one name popped into my head: Nathan Jones.

I don’t consider him a ‘flop’ but Roman Reigns’ mega multi year top tier push certainly didn’t achieve its intended purpose or position him where he needed to be. Same can be said about Seth Rollins on a smaller scale but he didn’t get the same royalty push or rockets strapped to him like RR did
