I read on Wikipedia that Sika was replacing Kamala in this match, who was previously scheduled.  Anyone know why Kamala did not appear?

Kamala quit or walked out a few weeks before that particular show, and was replaced by mostly Sika or Mr Fuji (or both in some cases) in the shows he'd been booked on.
There's a Boston Garden match put there from the same period also of the Hart Foundation vs Sika & Fuji where Fuji was a sub for Kamala also

The match took Place in Hersheypark Arena in Hershey PA.

It was announced that Kamala was taking on Hogan. A Few weeks after it was announced Hogan was doing a local promo when the Wizard walked on the set and started yelling at Hogan. Sika attacks Hogan from behind. The next local promo Hogan says he want Sika setting up the match.

Huh......thanks.  You would think a national televised title match with Hulk in 1987 would be tough to walk away from, at least money wise.

I'm thinking back through Kamala's career (at least what I know about it), and I can't remember a bigger high profile opportunity for him, at least exposure wise.

A lot of the top guys didn't want that SNME match with Hogan because they didn't want to do that job. High profile jobs to Hogan meant in many cases a big drop in your placement on house shows, where you made your money. As for being on SNME I heard your pay wasn't all that great.

Terry Funk said when he worked Hogan on SNME he did so because no one else wanted that match.
