This is going to cause alot of speculation in the coming weeks within the finest pro wres fighter message boards on the interwebs.

For Bruno, I think the man himself should do it. Vinny Mac really has the longest history of anyone with the hirstute one. It would also make the induction seem even more special. If it was one of his peers, I think George Steele should do it. Steele has clearly idolized Bruno going back 40 years. Before the tard gimmick, when Steele would get MSG shots against Morales, he would somehow always manage to work Bruno's name into the interview. He has always remembered that Bruno had a big hand in turning the lower midcard masked Student into main eventer George the Animal Steele.

Backlund is a little tougher. If Kurt Angle were still in the E it would be a good match with the mutual amateur background. Plus supposedly there was a great respect between the two as a 50 year old Backlund handled Angle very well during a backstage workout around 2000. But.......Angle ain't gonna happen so I think Brock Lesnar would be a great choice. Once again you have the mutual amateur background and a Minnesota connection. Great way to have Mushroom Head earn some of the money he's been stealing from poor old Vinny Mac.

If Vince was ever going to induct anyone, it should be Bruno.  I've thought about that idea as well. It makes too  much sense.  It should happen.

As for Backlund....that's a tough one.

It won't be an "induction" per se, but Bruno and Vince will have a (on-air) Martin & Lewis reunion moment.

Honestly, I think if they have Koloff going in, Koloff should induct Bruno, and Bruno should induce Koloff.

It seems fitting considering the history between the two of them

For Bruno, I would predict Larry Zbysko - even though Larry is not currently in the WWE. Someone posted on Youtube a video of Bruno and Larry making an appearance together at a mall in Pittsburgh. There was a lot of mutual admiration between the two and Larry credited much of his own success to Bruno and the way that Bruno helped Larry break into wrestling and helped him throughout his career. If you want a man who will truly praise Bruno and all that he has accomplished, Larry would be the best person to do it.

For Bob Backlund, I am thinking Kevin Nash. Backlund had no problem with doing the quick title change to Diesel at MSG. Nash brought Backlund into TNA and dropped Backlund's name many times during the TNA vignettes. If it isn't Nash, I would go with an actual Backlund family member to do the honors. If it has to be a WWE Superstar doing the induction, I would go with Vince McMahon.

The problem with Larry Legend inducting His Hairyness is that supposedly Vince hates Larry more than he hates 60 minute broadways.

I read somewhere that part of the deal to induct Bruno was that he wouldn't have to interact with Vince at all. I predict HHH will induct Bruno, or possibly Stephanie.

As for Backlund? The Iron Sheik without all the crazy. Sheiky can be perfectly coherent and sensible when he wants to be (listen to his appeance on Colt Cabana's podcast for proof).

For Backlund, what about Pat Patterson?

They did face eachother on four consecutive MSG cards for the World Title in 1979. Did that ever happen before or since at MSG?

I'm thinking for Backlund you'll have someone who has the gift of gab as we know Backlund is a bit "dry" when talking.

What about George Steele inducting Backlund? We all know he likes to talk and he at least was around and is knowledgeable about Backlund's run at the top.

Maybe Bret Hart?

Wow .. I'm thinking about this and I'll be darned if I can think of someone appropriate that could induct Backlund.

Slaughter would be a good choice to induct Backlund.

Bill Watts should induct Bruno.

The obvious choices are dead. Skoaland, Wiz, Albano, Blassie. It's a shame you couldn't get Superstar Billy Graham to behave for five minutes.

You are probably right on that one.

you guys are making some great suggestions.
I think Vince should induct Bruno, and Slaughter should induct Backlund.
