Started watching Nitro from the beginning. I've watched the first year so far.

I want you to post your thoughts on the episodes every single day, and we'll track your intelligence through your writings like in "Flowers For Algernon".  By the time you get to mid-1999, you're just going to be throwing your own feces at the monitor.

There's a guy on the Pro Wrestling Only board who went through the last two years of WCW writing reviews. Poor guy's brain must have exploded by the time he was done.

The first year of Nitro, especially the first six months, was pretty damn cool in hindsight.

The major problem with the first six months of Nitro is Mongo on commentary with his stupid toy dog. It was a blessing to the ears when he joined the Horsemen.

Started rewatching WWF championship wrestling 1984.  I am through July and am making my way through 1989 superstars.

Been watching a best of JCP/NWA 88 thru 92 set. I'm up to Bash 90 era. To change up here and there I've also watched some WWF house shows from the 80's and early 90's. Mostly only watch the tag matches as I want to make a list of the best ones from the house shows.

What's the quality on that set?  Is that the one that is made of NY, LA and Phily feeds to combine the best footage?

It might have been a blessing to the ears but it was a curse on the eyes of anybody that watched him try to wrestle.

I'm about half way through the 1991 season of WCW Pro. It's an interesting set as it is split between the localized shows from Chicago and New York. The first 18 discs are from WGN Chicago and the last 7 discs are from WCBS New York. This was the year that The Dangerous Alliance formed so it's fun to watch that develop but it sucks to see the last good version of The Four Horsemen ( Flair, AA, Windham and Sid ) dissolve quietly without much fanfare.

Was Jack Brickhouse (old timey WGN Chicago Cubs, Sox, Bears announcer) still doing his "Brickhouse Memories" on the early '91 Pro shows? I know he did them in late '90 for a bit.
