OVW 03/10/2007 – The Road to NXT Gold [Duration: 03:52] It's funny how some indy guys develop a rep and then absolutely drop off the face of the earth without ever making it. Jamin Olivencia was one of those guys that I heard a bit about 10 years ago and then...nothing. Not even ROH. Reading Justin Roberts' autobiography now and he doesn't go into details on the Palmer Canon situation, but he does talk in-depth about his own bullying at the hands of JBL and it's just really amazing that so late into WWE going corporate he was still allowed to do that shit and keep a job, and is still brought back occasionally to this day after the Mauro Ranallo stuff. JBL really is one of the biggest pieces of shit in wrestling history, and that covers a lot of ground considering the murders, rapists, and pedos he's in competition with. He's right there though.

The battle royal was being broadcast almost immediately after it happened due to the Blackwell beatdown. There was a card in st Paul on 7/15/84, so I'm guessing it was just a labelling issue of some sort.

It’s the Wrestling I was introduced to when I became a fan. The last couple of minutes of the battle royal and the subsequent beat down is arguably the greatest AWA angle of all time. When Blackwell dumps the charging Brody over the rope, the place kinda erupts.

Just wondering if the first three months of this show are in the hobby and in decent shape - I'm sure they'll go forward from 12/5/92 when they make the next upload. Not sure they will upload past when Raw debuts, but would be nice to get a full year of something for a change.

Good nostalgia with Superstars, even though like everyone I hope the naming rights get back so they can air the earlier ones. I always remembered Berzerker and Undertaker and the sword incident.
