I was always surprised how Richter was a cowgirl until that point and then she suddenly morphs into the "1980's MTV girl".

Awesome I love it, I’ve purposely been holding off on watching much Mid South hoping that at some point the E would add house shows and then I’d be able to watch the television with the pay off included.

In this morning's 2019 first quarter earnings release, WWE announced that the WWE Network's paid subscribers are now 1.58 million, an increase of 2%. They noted the day after Wrestlemania 35, their total Network subscribers (including comp accounts and those doing a free trial) reached 2 million.

The company stated that they project a paid subscriber level of 1.70 million for the second quarter of 2019, a decline of 5% from a year ago.

In the release, WWE stated their primary focus for the Network going forward "is the launch of its new platform in partnership with Endeavor Streaming and Massive. This new platform will provide flexibility to bring new features and experiences to the Company’s fans and enable the delivery of content in multiple languages."

Obviously, that was a reference to the tiered version of the Network that has been bandied about for some time

I found the Slaughter match to be a bit of a slog. They take 20 mins to really gear anything up, there's at least one glorious botch and the rest of the match is Flair paint by numbers stuff, complete w/ screwy finish.  Others are saying ***+. To each their own.

The Wrestle Fest card from Tulsa in 1985 also included a Wahoo McDaniel vs. The Nightmare match. The card took place outdoors at the fairgrounds in Tulsa.

The latest Table for 3, "Superstar Wives" is a bit out there. These three women are certifiable, and Orton's wife is going to encourage a thousand crazy stalkers. I can't believe that the powers of the WWE Network thought that this episode was fit to put out to the public. At one point they all start crying after Mrs Orton tells the story that Randy held his newborn baby, like every father ever... was she expecting him to give it an RKO?

It's 24 minutes long, which might not sound like much, but they only managed to get a 17 minute episode from Sting, Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat, because who cares what they have to say....

100% the only other person who watched this here was srossi.

I didn’t watch it but you did a 3 paragraph review of it, so you clearly did. I didn’t even know it was on. Way too much content for me to keep up with, as I’ve been complaining about for months. I haven’t even watched the last 2 NXT UKs and I might not bother with that anymore.

What a worthless bit of programming that sounds like. Why would anyone care what the spouse of a wrestler thinks?

I’d rather watch vanguard 1 Hover over a table for 24 minutes.

I’ve pretty much decided they only gave 17 mins to Flair, Steamboat, and Sting because 80% of what they said couldn’t be broadcast.  Don’t care that Sting is a Christian, he’s honest and there’s no doubt in my mind he told stories that, while clean, dished up dirt that they just wouldn’t show.

Just 4 months ago, Table For Three was one of my favorite original shows on the Network. It has now completely jumped the shark. Reason being, too many modern day mid-carders that I don't care about, and even when they do feature people I like, it's bullshit like the Flair, Steamboat, Sting crapfest that went a whole 17 minutes.

Today's Hidden Jems

As it turns out, we’ve been treated to several legitimate rarities from the Texas territory best known as World Class Championship Wrestling. First up, WWE has uploaded a portion of a Texas Death match between The Sheik and Fritz Von Erich (titled “To Tame a Madman“) from the pre-WCCW days when the territory was better known as Big Time Wrestling. The given date is 02/28/1977, which lines up with a match between the two at a Fort Worth taping. The footage shown here is partial as mentioned, though issues with the upload suggest that it may at least be due to tape degradation rather than an intentional edit. Nonetheless, pre-WCCW footage is very rare and especially so from the ’70s or earlier. Therefore, any that survives at all is noteworthy.

Next up, we amazingly have a full 40-minute TV episode dated 10/27/1980, a good 15 months earlier than any full weekly WCCW show previously uploaded to the WWE Network. It’s been given the fitting name of “Becoming WCCW“, as it marks the occasion of Big Time Wrestling officially taking on its new moniker. Needless to say, unearthing something as historic as this in such a complete form is quite exciting for the wrestling historians amongst us.

Last but far from least, we have “The Battle With Brody“, dated 06/07/1981 which sees The Great Kabuki battle Bruiser Brody in a steel cage at one of WCCW’s major “Star Wars” events. This is actually the second match from this particular show to be made available in Hidden Gems, with the first being Ernie Ladd vs Kerry Von Erich. While complete uploads of these kinds of major cards would always be preferred, at nearly 30 minutes in length, this steel cage war between two greats should not be overlooked.

I'd say these are "truly outrageous".
I definitely want to check out that October 1980 episode. I think they uploaded a weekly show from 1980 on the old WWE Classics, 24/7. I remember a show with Gino Hernandez and Gary Young as a tandem. Might've been a 1981 episode, though.
