WWE issued an email today revealing that come May 21st, several devices will no longer carry the WWE Network app. Devices that will no longer offer the app include the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Samsung and Sony Blu Ray players, older LG models, among others listed below.

These devices are almost all older and no longer receiving updates necessary, which is possibly the primary reason for this move, but many are looking ahead to WWE Network 2.0 that will come at some point in 2019. For those curious, Money in the Bank will indeed air prior to this change so for those concerned, you should still be able to view the event on these devices.

Below is what WWE revealed in their email and a list of devices no longer featuring the WWE Network app:

Our goal is always to provide you with the best possible viewing experience on WWE Network. Unfortunately, several device manufacturers have stopped updating the operating system of older products, which may impact your ability to stream high-quality video. As such, the WWE Network app will no longer be available on the devices listed below starting May 21, 2019:

• Amazon Fire Tablets
• Apple TV – 3rd Generation and earlier models
• LG – 2016 and earlier models
• PlayStation 3
• Samsung – 2016 and earlier models
• Samsung and Sony Blu-Ray Players
• Sony – non Android TVs
• Windows 10 Desktop
• Xbox 360

You can stream WWE Network on many other supported devices. For a full list, please visit WWE Network Support.

Sincerely,
WWE Network Support

There’s been rumblings about the infamous Bret Hart and Tom Magee match being made available on WWE Network for a few weeks now, and we even heard from a trusted source it was indeed set to arrive but we were unable to pinpoint details as to when. Now, thanks to WWE themselves, we know exactly when we can expect it.

On Monday following RAW, a brand new documentary titled The Holy Grail: The Search for WWE’s Most Infamous Lost Match will arrive on WWE Network. This special will look at the previously lost match, along with the meaning behind it, what happened to Tom Magee, how the tape was discovered, and more. And of course, the match itself will be available for viewing. Further details on the match and special can be seen below. Again this is set to air on Monday after RAW at 11 PM EST.

Below is WWE.com’s announcement of the special:

One of the greatest mysteries in sports-entertainment history has been found and you’ll be able to see it along with a documentary explaining the story on WWE Network after Raw on Monday.

On Dec. 6, 1986, Bret “Hit Man” Hart faced Tom Magee in an untelevised tryout match in Rochester, New York. After the bell sounded and Magee’s hand was raised, he was labeled the next Hulk Hogan, but since the bout was untelevised, footage became lost over time … until today.

VHS tape traders tried in vain to chase down the cassette of Hart vs. Magee for three decades to no avail, but it was recently discovered as part of “Hit Man’s” tape library and is available Monday after Raw on WWE Network. Check out this classic match and get the full story on how the tape was discovered, what happened to Tom Magee, and much more by watching The Holy Grail: The Search for WWE’s Most Infamous Lost Match, streaming Monday after Raw.

This is so inside baseball that there’s no way Vince has anything to do with it, or even the slightest idea this is happening. 99.9% of WWE Network subscribers won’t get it either.

I mean I'm gonna watch it, so there ya go. A lot of people are gonna watch it. I wish they didn't give away the damn finish though.

You’re on a wrestling message board dedicated to the past. You are not the typical WWE Network subscriber by a long shot.

All good stuff, but I've seen all of these several times.

The first two are likely complete, which is a new thing for both. Third one, not sure.

The handicap tag team bout from 1982 was on an official  WWE DVD.  Was it not complete?

I am not sure to be honest.

WWE Untold is returning to the WWE Network! A new episode is set to premiere next weekend and the subject matter will certainly be of interest to many – The Big Bang and the re-launch of WCW. The Big Bang was supposedly going to be the relaunch of World Championship Wrestling when Eric Bischoff would regain control in 2001. Due to a number of factors, that did not take happen and the event did not take place. This episode of WWE Untold dives into the story.

As a reminder, this edition of WWE Untold featuring Booker T, Eric Bischoff, among others is set to air next weekend. Specifically, the show will air on Sunday, May 26th, at 8 PM EST on WWE Network. Like with any WWE Network special, it could potentially run longer or shorter than the advertised 30 minutes and it could be made available slightly before or slightly after the initial airing on the live stream.

Below is the WWE Network synopsis for the special:

Eric Bischoff, Booker T and more tell the true story of how WCW almost relaunched with a ‘big bang’ in 2001.
