The Andre the Giant collection appears to have a full Andre-Bockwinkel match from 11/10/82 in Winnipeg. Only a JIP version existed before now. Very cool.

Grats!  Looks like a gem for the AWA collector.

Why is Larry Matysik the commentator for this match?  Did he do work for the AWA?  I thought he was just a St. Louis guy.

Honestly I have no idea what the deal was there. For the longest time I thought it was Steve O doing commentary as he did some and some interview work while his wrist was healing up. The two sounded very similar to me.

There are two theories on Matysik calling the Winnipeg match. One is that since Verne owned a piece of St. Louis by then, he called on Larry to fill in. Two, depending on when it aired, maybe they were bringing Andre to St. Louis and wanted an outside match to get him over as an international star. Was Larry calling it live to tape or did it seem like the commentary was dubbed in later? Sometimes when a promotion aired someone else's tape, it would have its own announcers voice it over.

WWEnetworknews.com

We noted previously that Bruce Prichard’s Something To Wrestle podcast was coming to the WWE Network in some form and we now have more information on the upcoming WWE Network original series. A Sports Illustrated article along with a Facebook live stream from Brother Love himself revealed quite a bit of information as to what to expect.

The title, as previously noted, is Something Else To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard.
Co-host of the Something To Wrestle podcast Conrad Thompson is confirmed for this program, as well.

Sports Illustrated stated they have thirteen episodes as per the contract they signed and Bruce stated in his live stream that they will talk about renewing based on the success of those episodes.

The show will be a video format, with Bruce and Conrad both in their respective home offices.

Bruce noted he’s unsure if actual footage of subjects discussed will be integrated but that it’ll be an evolving program and that you should let WWE know on social media if you’d want to see that.

Each episode will likely be sixty minutes to ninety minutes in length.

The show will be uncensored and feature the same adult language and lewd phrases their regular show has.

Neither Conrad nor Bruce are WWE employees but both did sign a unique contract, which favors them keeping the show similar in format and style to their main podcast.

No start date is official, but the first episode will air within the next few weeks, some time in April.

Some topics will be deeper dives into subjects they’ve already covered, such as The Million Dollar Man character, while others will be brand new.

The first episode will be a completely new subject that hasn’t had an episode dedicated to it.

Additionally, it appears these thirteen episodes may be added on demand one by one each week for thirteen weeks but that’s currently unconfirmed. Of course, when an official start date is revealed, and if any other information becomes available, we’ll be sure to make note of it here on WWE Network News.

Listening to this right now.  I've never heard this podcast before.  I have to say the hype is a bit much.  I've never particularly liked Prichard and my opinion hasn't changed dramatically after listening to this.  The first episode on WWE Network in nearly 2 hours and the topic is WM XIV.  It's somehow rated PG although they're letting the language fly (shit is said frequently, and they bleep out the fucks).  It's a bizarre thing for WWE Network to feature, especially since a big part of the podcast is Conrad reading verbatim the absolutely awful reviews of the matches that Meltzer wrote in the Observer the following week.  It's OK but listening to these things for 2 hours is a bit much.  Everyone has an opinion on old events and Prichard has his views and it's about as valid as anyone else's.  I'm not seeing a tremendous amount of insider insight.  It's the usual "the fans don't know what they want" type of stuff that all bookers say.
