After talking to Ric Flair Monday, I have no doubts in my mind that he hasn't wrestled his last bout. I don't think that his next in ring wrestling outing will be for WWE but internationally Ric has many lucrative offers that a 60 year old man with somewhat staggering, personal financial obligations likely cannot pass up. The sums of money being purported surrounding these proposed bouts is serious money. These bouts could theoretically run into 2010. I am not generally in favor of Ric stepping back in the ring for multiple dates in other's rings wrestling who knows who at this point but I also can understand the financial obligations that Ric has and "getting whole" so to speak at this stage of his game has credence. Ric shared his potential schedule with me and he's going to rack up tons of frequent flier miles in addition to earning major bucks

JR almost sounds a little jealous of Flair in this statement. if I was Flair, i would go and make the money. He will always have a spot in the WWE, as long as HHH is involved.

It has nothing to do with HHH.  As long as Flair is over he'll be welcomed back.  WWE has done such a piss-poor job of creating new stars that Flair STILL gets a bigger pop than any of their regulars.

it's true that Flair still gets a huge Pop whenever He appears on T.V. it still helps though,  that HHH has power in the company and that Big Steph also likes Flair as well.  it's never bad to have high placed Allies in the Business World. Flair knows that He can come and go as He pleases.

Vince has also softened his stance on Flair a lot in the past year and Flair has gone on record as saying that Vince has no problem at all with him doing ROH TV at the same time he's on WWE TV.  That's quite the change in philosophy for Vince.  Flair is booked on both ROH and WWE shows through the summer and will even be a guest referee on an ROH PPV.

Da' Meltz was saying Today that Vince isn't too happy that Flair is doing the ROH T.V. taping this Weekend. Maybe Meltzer got His signals crossed on this story. Wouldn't be the firsrt time that has happened.

Before the taping begins, Ric Flair comes to the ring to a huge standing ovation.  He puts over the Philadelphia crowd and their enthusiasm, respect, and wildness.  He talks about  how he came to ROH three months ago to become ROH Ambassador, but he wants to be straight  with the crowd and tell the fans that he's decided to go back to WWE, which surprisingly  got applause from the crowd.  He put over the company and how hard everyone works to  bring a good product to the fans, but he realizes that he belongs in WWE and that's where  he wants to finish his career.  He thanks the fans for accepting him as part of Ring Of  Honor and tells everyone to keep supporting ROH.

According to Flair, he wasn't pulled from any ROH dates.

"I announced I would be leaving them (ROH) last week at the Philadelphia show because it would be on HDNet (cable TV) and I felt it wasn't right for me to be appearing (on TV) for the WWE and ROH while singing the praises of both.  The decision was mine alone.  Nothing against ROH, but I decided you can't serve two masters, and my loyalty lies with the WWE.  I feel very comfortable being there."

That makes Flair come off even worse as he took ROH's money and then bailed on them at the last minute, informing them after 3 hours of TV had been written with him in it that he wouldn't be appearing and forcing re-writes.  Flair will never get it.
