Definitely not AS successful because he doesn't have the mic skills and age is working against him now too. But if booked well there's no reason he shouldn't be successful. Do they want him to be is the bigger question?

Chris Jericho looked like Andre the Giant standing next to Styles.

LOL.  He is a smaller guy (like Punk) and appears to be about as over as he can be on his first night, all things considered.

I am under the impression that they do not want anyone to get too big, or "bigger" than the company ever again.  That way, if another company ever comes along and picks up momentum, the top star cannot jump ship and be the catalyst that gives WWE serious competition again.  While it appears that a lot of people see competition as a good thing, I am not convinced that Vince really feels that way.

It's bizarre that Styles has teased the Styles Clash about 6 times now in 2 nights but hasn't hit it yet. Unless you know him, you don't even know what the move is, so I'm not sure why they keep doing false finishes with it.

Yeah that is a good call.  There are all kinds of videos of this move being botched on YouTube, and it looks like a potential neck injury every time it is not executed properly by the recipient.  Any chance this move could be on the "too dangerous to perform list" by WWE?

They shouldn't tease it if he can't do it, but I'm beginning to wonder if they will let him do it. One of the Divas used it a few years back though, but that was before Styles started botching them.

They did the exact same thing with Hideo Itami and the GTS on NXT. He teased it for months, and got a huge reaction when he finally hit it.

Judging by his huge reaction, the fans (in the arena anyway) know who he is, so they probably know the move.

Why not tease it? People complain all the time that WWE rush everything, now you're complaining that they won't give you what you want in his first two matches.

Watch the Youtubes if you want to see a Styles Clash. If they are going to keep teasing it, let him use it at WrestleMania.

It was smart to have AJ debut in Orlando-where TNA taped for so long. The fans in attendance know him very well.

The GTS is different because it was about re-introducing the move after CM Punk left to a smark audience.  And they still haven't really done it, he just hit the move once in a match that I don't think they ever aired in its entirety, and then he got hurt.  The announcers also never sold it, never, for months when he would attempt it.  Cole has repeatedly called it the Styles Clash every time he tries it.  Being on Raw is about introducing someone to the mainstream and getting him and his finisher over, so I'm surprised he would win his first match with a roll-up.

Nope. Not a chance. A.J. Styles has always had the "SOMETHING" factor, but never the "IT" factor.

To be as successful as CM Punk, you need the "IT" factor.

Jericho's chest looked really weird. His Pecs have appeared to gone flat on him. Looks like he has pancake tits.

Yeah, I was looking at that too.  What is Jericho's 1 rep max on his bench press right about now?
