It's because we were all running towards our beds.

After this show, I feel WWE owes me money for my time being wasted

Anyone who would watch 7 straight hours of one wwe show needs their heads examined....and no im not going to say no offense because that is just stupid for guys in their 40's and older to be doing that.....actually no one should be doing that....this isn't pro wrestling...it isn't what we grew up on on, it never will be again....it's time to face the facts. An intervention is in order.
It was WM, one would expect them to have at least an attempt at a decent show in that 7 hours though.

I don't know how it was anywhere else, but in my house it was split depending on age brackets on enjoyment of the show.  My youngest kids, loved the show(at least until bedtime), the preteens/younger teens were so-so for the show, but anyone over 20 hated the show.  So I guess that will make WWE happy in a way, that kids liked the show, but it also shows a major screw up on their part by having Superman appear long after his biggest fans went to bed for the night

Outside of the obvious build-up and winners for some of the matches, these were the things that disappointed me:

 - No backstage segments with Legends.  (Unless I missed them when I was in the bathroom which is possible, this show was really long lol).

- Undertaker blowing up and lying on the mat with Shane working around him.  If someone were to go back and watch this match over and take a stopwatch to figure out how much time Undertaker was lying on the mat or in a rest hold, I'm convinced it would be a non-flattering number.  I understand the "Undertaker love" and respect what he has done in the past, but people paid a lot for these tickets.  He probably needs to get in shape if they are gonna book him like that, otherwise he should come out with Austin, Foley, Michaels, etc.  The streak is over, this match looks pretty insignificant going forward, so why the spotlight with all of that time?

- The tag match switcheroo:

I forgot about the tag match being switched to non-title, but during the pregame show Booker T's entire commentary discussion was over this being a 3 vs 4 handicap tag.  For some reason, it turns into a 3-on-3 match.  I don't recall hearing a reason, maybe Barrett was hurt or something?

Things I liked:

- The stage was cool, so were the effects.

- Surprise winner in the I.C. match with Ryder.

- Women's match given time, entrance with Snoop etc.

I really don't get the hate on the show. The pre show was mainly filler, we at it on ay my house but were cooking and doing other things while it was on, so it wasn't that important. The US title match was pretty cool, the others, meh.
Thought the main show was good. The only match I was disappointed in was the HIAC, I was expecting more violence and action than the spot, rest, spot, rest we got. The bump was crazy but did anyone else notice the crash pad under the announce table?
Brock/Dean was good, sure Brock won but Dean showed he can hang, just like he did with HHH last month. It gives him the rub to be in main events even though he lost this one.
AJ/ Jericho was good, I don't get the hate for AJ not winning, he won the last 3 matches, one loss won't kill him and both guys looked good out there.
Divas match got my vote for best of the night.
Ladder match was good, some really cool spots from Sami, and I like that Ryder won, that was unexpected and pretty cool.
Battle Royal was decent, I'm not a Corbin fan but it's someone new, so who knows. I was hoping that Titus would return early from his suspension and win, but it was not to be.
The Rock segment didn't bother me, it's the Rock, and he beat Rowan, who is the Wyatt job guy. Most people won't remember this segment in a few weeks, and since the Wyatts are injured I don't think this will lead to any long term negative effects on them. And I'd rather Cena come back in this segment than in a match.
Main event was OK,  solid but nothing spectacular. Everyone knew Reigns was winning, now it's a matter of where they go from here with it.
I'd give the show a 7.5/10, other than the HIAC for me, everything else was pretty solid. And if you discount the preshow matches, it was a solid 4 hr+ card.

The show was way too long and frontloaded for the best matches, which tends to give people a lesser opinion of it going away. However, it was still a decent show. The issue is the WWE is using Roman Reigns in a way the fans don't want to see and which won't get over. These days jeering Cena is something people do more as creatures of habit than out of passion and he's always had a significant fan base which is how the dueling chants got started and why you can justify leaving him as a babyface. Reigns doesn't have that core support, so there's no one to alienate by turning him. If he were to give a blistering interview on Raw tonight, letting loose the emotions likely boiling inside him, blasting the fans and telling them to go to hell while attacking a sacred cow fan favorite in a heelish manner, the guy would be over like crazy right away as a heel and would be looked at by fans as a cool heel by Summerslam. The WWE's insistence on driving a square peg in a round hole baffles me when the solution is in front of them.

OK - Everybody thinks Roman should go heel. And I believe WWE is taking him there because Rock didn't "put him over" like he did when he won the Rumble. BUT there was no way they were going to turn HHH face, because it goes against their plans.

So who does Roman turn heel on? Can't be Cena, because he'd get cheered if he beat him down. Who is so popular that he could turn on and become despised? Ambrose? Maybe, but he loses every match anyway. Does he just join with HHH and the Corporation? That might work because Rollins needs to be the face because people love him.

Although Dean Ambrose is the best bet as a first foe for Roman, I think you could accomplish a heel turn for Roman by having him just act like a prick and "ruin" some stuff the fans like. Are AJ and Kalisto having a barn burner match? Have Roman come in and spoil the match by attacking them. Is Sami Zayn about to beat Kevin Owens? Roman can nail him with chair. Make Roman cost Zack Ryder the IC Title when he's about to get another upset win. Fans want to boo him. This would be the easiest turn ever.

Reigns doesn't have the capability to cut a "blistering promo". It would come off goofy. He needs to stop talking. Heel, babyface, or tweener, he needs to stay kicking ass and saying nothing. He had a brooding look and isn't nearly as bad a worker as people pretend he is. He will get over if he doesn't talk. But WWE thinks every main eventer needs to cut a 20 minute promo every week.

I think if Roman Reigns cut a heel promo, the inner rage he's likely feeling over the fans rejecting him would carry him through and the content could and should draw from that. He doesn't have to talk for twenty minutes then or afterwards, but he'd need to tell the fans to go to hell while thinking back to the embarrassment he felt for not getting the win last year in the Bay Area where he has so much family and so on. It's probably all wishful thinking. The WWE is deaf, blind, and dumb on this one.

He's not even close to coming back yet.

Dag, that is harsh.  I will say this, I think there is a pretty good argument that Hulk and Andre drew their audience in large part, as compared to this show, where they drew 101,000 on the WWE brand in general.  This of course, being the same WWE brand that Hogan had a big hand in building in the first place.

ESPN saying legit attendance was between 85,000-95,000.

Though ignorant, I still have to ask....what makes it legit?
