I haven't seen much positivity to it.  Pretty much everywhere I've seen, it's very negative.

Matt Hardy has posted the real footage of where the Hardys went last night, before Impact nonsensically edited it.  This clip shows them winning the OMEGA Tag titles in NC.

They were down 1000 views from last week in the ratings.

To put this in perspective, Total Nonstop Deletion drew 329,000. Last night TNA drew 292,000.  Momentum baby!  Keep that buzz going.

Their YouTube clips of the show that involve Alberto are approaching 400,000 views, which I've never seen before with them. Even the Hardy stuff only got to about 150k.

Unless he has a stalker fan who just keeps hitting play over and over :)

Week 2 went a lot better. More wrestling, mostly good matches, and most importantly they toned down the commentator bickering and tried to get the new talent over.

I wouldn't be surprised if they re-recorded it after the clusterfuck last week. Josh Matthews still keeps banging on about things trending on Twitter, though. It makes him sound like an ass, because everyone knows it's not live.

I laughed at that a few times. And it's not just like "Impact" is trending, it's specific and convoluted hashtags that no one would think of on their own and that Impact doesn't flash on the screen like WWE does. It's hilarious.

Ratings were way up for Week 2, to 344,000.  That has to be a huge relief for TNA.

The Alberto vids are doing very well on YouTube again.
Not at the levels of Paige letting Brad Maddox jizz on the NXT title but still.

Impact's Ed Nordholm officially announced via Twitter that the company will be working with AAA in Mexico, writing, "Building bridges. Our alliance with AAA will bring the best of both promotions together."

Impact is indeed still working with CRASH Lucha Libre in Tijuana and we are told there are plans in place regarding that working agreement in regard to announcements that will be made in the weeks to come. CRASH and AAA are at major odds right now, so we'll see what sort of position all that puts Impact Wrestling in.

For those who have asked, the fourth person in the "booking meeting" segments on Impact this past Thursday as Rafael Morfi, a former WWE live events official who has been working with Impact over the last year or so. If and when the company relaunches their live events, he'll be the point person involved

What is the point in all these "working relationships"? The only reason I can think of is so that TNA can send its contracted talent there to get a cut of their fee. I can't see it improving TNA's product to bring in these guys over anyone they could get who isn't under contract somewhere. TNA is going to become a talent agency that just so happens to tape TV for a few days a year. Probably a better business model than trying to run a full touring promotion.

Working relationships can work great if done correctly.  The NJPW relationship has been huge for ROH.  They can bring in mega-stars like Tanahashi and Okada several times a year at a time when their talent roster is a bit thin, and it makes ROH more attractive to talent because they can get the international exposure of working for NJPW.

Of course, TNA doesn't do anything correctly and the companies they're working with aren't nearly as attractive.  But it can still work to pad a really depleted roster.  But they need to push these guys and treat them like international stars, and they need access to Marufuji and Shiozaki in NOAH, maybe the crown jewels of the relationship, and should bring them in as gods who beat everyone before finally giving the rub to one of their young talents.  It's the only way their guys can get a rub because no one in the company except El Patron and maybe Lashley can give one.  Instead, they problem bring them in with chef gimmicks from Benihana and have them lose in their first match.  After what TNA did with Okada, I don't know why any other company would ever work with them.  But TNA desperately needs talent and if no one is willing to sign with them, working relationships can help a lot.

As a side note, I just read that Jeremy Borash has been named "Vice President of International Relations".  I just had to laugh at that.  When WWE hands out VP titles it's huge dollars and stock options.  With TNA, it seems like way too much trouble for the 3 scratch-offs and travel pillow that they give you.
