I was watching this on DVR late last night and my wife couldn't sleep and walked down stairs, went to another room, started walking back upstairs, and after hearing Impact in the background for those 4 minutes shouted down, "Are they going to argue the whole show?  This is even more annoying than most of the wrestling you watch."  Even she knows.  It's kind of amazing that even a non-fan can pick up that something is horrifyingly wrong about this show within minutes.

Say what you want about Court Bauer, but this new crop of people who promoted themselves will save the promotions with national TV at some point, as most people are still severely infected by what you might want to call the Attitude Era Virus. That, and the fact that the McMahons only book for themselves mean that the most successful wrestling people either have no clue or no interest to book to the biggest possible mainstream audience. And only once those people who worked the small independent circuit will come into power will this awful circlejerk be ended. For they will be interested what the fans want, as they had to go carny to make a living on the independents.

PWInsider is reporting that Da Hit Squad, Monsta Mack and Dan Maff, were supposed to be with Homicide and Konnan as LAX and would've been getting this big push as Tag champs.  But in typical TNA fashion, they called them at the last minute and they have 9-5 jobs that they couldn't get away from.  So they went with the two virtually nameless jabronis that they have.

The actual in-ring action was pretty good last night, but the announcing, the largely tranquil crowd, and weird booking over the World Title as always negate it.

1) Reno Scum beat Garza Jr/Laredo Kid and Decay. The Mexicans have the most talent by a mile here, but Reno Scum does have an interesting look. At least they pinned Decay. Good bout.

Annoying Bruce Prichard comes out to announce that Lashley will face James Storm for the title on the live episode next week. Storm won a fake poll. EC3 came out and was not happy. The booking around this belt was a complete mess this entire 6 week taping.

2) Braxton Sutter and Allie beat Kevin Matthews and Sienna. This wasn't horrible, but easily the worst match. They keep playing up Allie as a novice learning to wrestle. The problem with that is only really hardcore and demented people like me are watching this. We know she's wrestled as Cherry Bomb on indies for years. She's a cutie and a very nice girl, but this wasn't good. Allie pins Sienna when she trips over KM. A fat Samoan guy wearing tights that looked more like a diaper comes out and destroys Braxton. Zach Ryder's girlfriend Laurel Von Ness comes out STILL wearing her astonishingly clean wedding dress from 8 episodes ago and helps Sienna take out Allie. Post-match sucked.

3) KO Champ Rosemary beat Santana Garrett. This was very good.

4) Andrew Everett beat Suicide, Shane Helms, and Marshe Rockett. Solid flippy X match. Trevor Lee and Helms jumped Everett after the match to keep building their feud.

5) Davey Richards beat DJ Z. Good match and unfortunately probably the laat of DJ Z for a while due to his injury. Eddie Edwards and his wife revenge attack Richards and an increasingly ugly Angelina Love after.

6) Borash team of Alberto El Patron, Chris Adonis, Matt Morgan, and Magnus beat Bobby Lashley, Tyrus, Eli Drake, and Bram when Magnus pinned Bram. This was a solid match, but it went a little long to pay off what will win Worst Angle of the Year unless WWE has something especially offensive up its sleeve. Josh leaves, and I assume returns as a manager next week. This feud has made Borash look bad too. Magnus was treated like the biggest star in the company 2 weeks in a row, so I assume Lashley vs. Magnus is the real build.

The Samoan-looking dude was indie-scrub Kongo Kong. He has the biggest tits in wrestling today, he's 100 pounds away from being Abdullah the Butcher. He's just unpleasant to look at.

That's right, they did call him that. The name sounds like some 50s or 60s B movie. He was quite obese and wearing a diaper.

I've seen Bitch Tits Magee in ROH in the past and he showed some talent. Last night he didn't.

The whole show just came across like a mess again with the awful announcing and the laughable pushing of Jarrett and GFW at the expense of everything TNA. The main event was fine but no one could possibly enjoy it with the announcing. And Borash comes across as just as bad as Mathews, so we're supposed to be rooting for one team over the other why exactly?

And in 4 short weeks, Bruce Prichard has become the biggest channel-changer in wrestling. He's such a smarmy prick that screams heel that if took me 75% of his segment to realize that EC3 was now a heel again and Prichard was trying to be a face. Prichard's TNA persona strikes me as a used car salesman who watches child porn on his days off. But he's the good guy.

I agree completely. What sucks is that the matches are perfectly fine. At lewst last night they were. I just read that Kongo Kong and his diaper are from GFW, so that's another one. Just like Magnus and Reno Scum. Mario Bokara is too, but I only saw him in that one 6 man.

I don't care how many podcast downloads he has, but Prichard is awful. I actually thought that both he and EC3 were heels. Prichard is the face? And why? Because people like him making up bullshit stories about Rick Martel in the 88 Royal Rumble? Martel wasn't even in the match by the way.

I bet Josh returns to manage EC3.

I try to avoid spoilers as best as possible but I came across a clip so

*Spoiler Alert*

Mathews winds up getting beat up by The Pope. Not sure in what context but sadly he's not done yet. If they're really building to a fucking Mathews-Pope match I give up, but Mathews keeps bragging about his wrestling background from Tough Enough 10 years ago so you know he'll eventually have a match and Pope might be the likeliest opponent.

Rossi, that was an off-air dark segment from the tapings. I believe EC3 also gave Josh a stunner. Next Thursday is live, and then they continue to tape Friday-Sunday.

Even more bizarre, especially since EC3, who I was surprised is now a heel, also attacked him. I guess I shouldn't try to make sense of any of this nonsense. If what they air is incoherent, why should the dark segments make more sense?

This week's show. Great interview segments, especially Storm & Crimson.
TNA should do more of these.

The only problem is that Storm was given a title shot despite no momentum toward it. They have made Alberto, Magnus, and EC3 all seem like bigger deals. It's not worse than Jinder Mahal out of nowhere at least. But you knew Storm had no shot.

Good show until it turned into Josh vs. Borash again. I don't care. No one cares. Stop. It overshadowed a very good main event with the X Division that featured Low Ki returning and the debut of Dezmond Xavier.

And what was the deal with Loki wrestling in suit & tie ?JB & Josh were too busy bickering to provide some insight.
