PWInsider has announced (with a headline reading "Hell Freezes Over Again") that Jim Cornette will induct the R'n'R Express into the WWE HOF, pretty surprising considering the comments he's made about them the last 10+ years.  This will be Cornette's first appearance on WWE TV since WrestleMania 17, but he worked for WWE until 2005 in OVW as well.

Also announced is John Cena inducting Kurt Angle, Ricky Steamboat inducting Rick Rude, and JBL and Ron Simmons inducting Teddy Long.

Honestly, good. He needs to bury the hatchet with the company. He's the last holdout of any note I can think of.

Cena inducting Angle is ridiculous. They should have Brock do it. Yeah I know, Brock has a "mystique". Or Brock is just too much of an asshole to do it. But if neither one of those things apply, Brock should do it.

That's actually perfect though.  Great choice.

They should have paid Austin to show up and do it.

Either are better than Cena.  HHH is better than Cena.  Jericho is better than Cena, that program was on and off for 2+ years when Smackdown was the top show.

They should have Benoit do it. Clearly Angle's best opponent. I think it's time they let bygones be bygones and bring him back.

Actually the best person to induct Angle would be Steph. To me, that's the best Kurt Angle era ever. That first or second year, that Steph-Angle stuff was great.

Have Rikishi do it, but as "JR Smooth." Angle won the Power Pro title from him in 1999. :)

I have no problem with Cena inducting Angle. He will deliver a good speech and there is a professional connection between the two, including Cena pinning Angle in his first WWE TV match on Smackdown. As far as Lesnar goes, Brock isn't much of a public speaker. He can bring some good sound bytes, but he isn't a guy to give a prepared speech of ten minutes or however long it is.

I'm not sure if Jim Cornette will go much further than the HOF ceremony since the politics of the WWE and the product apparently disgust him. However, it would seem to open the door for him and the Midnight Express to get inducted in the near future, perhaps as soon as next year when Mania goes back to New Orleans.
