The burial of Enzo continued on the post-No Mercy "Raw Talk" special.  Enzo was a guest with Renee Young and Lawler and rambled and bragged for way too long and both hosts made fun of him.  Lawler said "He talks faster than I can listen" and Young at one point looked directly at the camera and said "I have no idea what's happening right now", which was hilarious.  After Enzo left, Young said, "I don't understand half of what Enzo says but I smile and nod" and Lawler joked that he couldn't even understand half.  The gist of what anyone could understand was that Enzo was going to party all night in celebration of winning the Cruiserweight title.

A couple of guests later, John Cena came on and dropped the hammer, basically saying that he was all about WWE while "with all due respect" Enzo was all about Enzo.  He ended the interview by making a joke that he was going to party with Enzo but probably couldn't keep up with him anymore.

If this is the real Enzo, and it was definitely a very unscripted format, then I can see how he would be exhausting for the other talent to deal with in the back.

You simply can't present a guy as a loveable loser and expect him to get cheered anymore.  That hasn't worked in 25 years now.  If you say to your audience "This guy isn't very good" the fans will recognize that and turn on him.  For some reason, WWE decided that Enzo's backstage antics needed to become TV fodder, and in the process they took one of their few babyfaces who was genuinely over and gave the fans the avenue to shit on him too, just like Cena and Reigns.  I don't get the point.  Deal with backstage issues backstage.  Even though it leaked online, the backlash didn't start until WWE turned it into an angle.  When heels talk shit about babyfaces and everyone recognizes it as truth, you've killed your babyface.  Heels are supposed to lie, not bring to light every legitimate weakness.

Agreed about the "loveable loser" mentality, which makes me wonder where they are going with Jason Jordan.

Jordan definitely is behind the 8 ball getting saddled with this Angle bastard gimmick, by I don't see him as a loveable loser.  The guy can flat-out go in the ring.  But yeah, the heels keep mocking him on TV and mentioning nepotism, eventually that's going to get some of the fans to turn on him.  We'll see if his talent can keep him afloat.  He also NEEDS to stop the goofy facial expressions when he pulls his straps down.  Even when American Alpha were killing it in NXT, he would do that at the height of an awesome match and just ruin it for me.  That will get him booed quicker than anything.

The Lawler bit?

Lame-O.  Leave that to Jerry.

Lawler never looked like he was having an orgasm when he did it, though.

Well obviously, he saved that for the prepubescent girls.

They try to take these belts seriously for while, but in the end it's just a prop for a gag. Enzo joins the in fine tradition of Gillberg, Chavo Classic and Hornswoggle.

I assume this has to be the continuation of a heel turn for Enzo.  If that's not the direction they're going, I have no idea what to make of this.  Ironically, Enzo is the first WWE star to get legit heat for cheating in about 20 years, and he's a babyface.  Man, did the fans hate him for that low blow last night.

Slightly hypocritical given that Cena destroyed the single hottest angle the WWE has come up with in two decades because he refused to put over Wade Barrett.  Amore has done the job for pretty much everyone ever.

I wonder whether this title change is going to alter two careers though.  Amore could eventually be morphed into a heel manager, that's more or less how he started in NXT; and whether they take advantage to put Neville back onto the main roster as he's one of the most effective heels in toto.

If Neville gets pulled from 205 Live, that's the end of the show.  It's already struggling, I don't see how it survives without by far its top star.

And Enzo should've been a heel manager from day one, but Vince just doesn't want managers anymore.  I don't understand why he decided that was antiquated after it worked so well for so many decades, but he's not going to change his mind now.

Of course though, he turned heel, totally buried Neville and the Cruiserweights with true statements about how they finally got into the main event with Enzo there. Since the heels always tell the truth and the faces are made to look stupid.

Then Neville and the Cruiserweights came off like jealous douchebags with a prolonged beatdown that got almost no reaction other than a handful of clapping, some of which was from the other Cruisers. This petty burial/lesson has made me into an Enzo fan, and it's funny how completely irrelevant 205 Live looks compared to him.

So now Enzo is the only heel on 205 Live and everyone else is a face.

Honestly Enzo is so fucking good on the mic that every time the fans start booing him, he'll say something funny and get them cheering and laughing 2 seconds later again.  The fans never really turn 100% against him during promo segments, he's too good.  But matches are a different story.  I can see Enzo becoming a very popular heel though and then being able to turn babyface again down the road, similar to The Rock.  Except once the bell rings, he can't keep that momentum going.

That was fucking gold, and I keep forgetting how good the No-Fly Noam Dar since I really don`t keep up with the 3 hours of RAW every week.
I also liked Storwman coming up for absolutely no reason just to destroy Enzo.

I have a question and this may sound stupid especially since I've been a wrestling fan for 40 years and a smart mark for at least 20..but watching that clip above of Strowman slamming him, then STEPPING on his chest as he leaves, HOW do they gimmick that spot? Strowman is legit probably close to 350lbs and Enzo is a dwarf, I know you can maybe "tread lightly" as you step on him like that but he stepped on his fucking chest..how do they do that (and I see if often) and not crush someone's sternum? WTF?
