When the announcers on Raw talked about him, I got a really bad feeling. I think this is worse than we probably imagine.  I expected a "Get well soon" and it was much closer to "Hopefully he survives".

The Network is showing a Ric Flair special right after Raw goes off.  Not a good sign either.

Hmm, if he had a blocked colon, that could have lead to a heart issue. Remember how Elvis went - blocked colon and his heart gave out while trying to pass scat.

Sean Waltman was quoted as saying that he heard from a mutual friend that things "don't look good" for Flair's chances of surviving.  Of course this is Sean Waltman repeating hearsay, so take that for what it's worth.

I'm surprised he didn't just flat out claim to be there.

PWInsider reporting that Flair did NOT have colon surgery.  The original source for this rumor was a Gene Okerlund tweet, but he was incorrect.  The family is not disclosing the nature of Flair's surgery, but reiterate that he still has a "number" of serious medical issues.

Last night on SD!, the announcers said that Flair had had an unspecified surgery and is in critical condition.

In regard to Ric Flair's condition, he is still currently in critical condition in Atlanta, GA.

A source close to the situation told PWInsider.com that while reports are out there that Flair had surgery on his colon, those are incorrect. It appears those stories began because Gene Okerlund mistakenly said colon on social media.

The surgery was actually on Flair's bowels due to a massive obstruction caused by a health issue that was complicated by other health issues that Flair had been dealing with, including heart issues that he was already aware of. The situation turned dire when Flair's kidneys shut down due to the obstruction and he is currently undergoing dialysis that will hopefully fix the situation and allow them to return to normal.

Flair was in extremely bad shape several days ago but the outlook, we are told, is better. However, we were cautioned that he is still in critical condition and anything can happen, so he's not out of the woods yet and is expected to need at least one more surgery in the weeks to come.

This is NOT a case where Flair will wake up tomorrow and leave the hospital the next day.

Wendy Barlow was the person that said the colon surgery thing was false. I love how wrestling news sites report. "a source close to the situation".....

Better than "pals say" that other entertainment rags use

Jim Ross was on Michael Kay's show on the YES Network yesterday and gave a lot more details.  He said Flair had intense stomach pains and constipation for weeks, maybe months, and didn't do anything about it.  It developed into a severe bowel blockage and the surgery was related to that, but wasn't on his colon.

Ric Flair's manager Melinda Morris Zanoni posted the following health updateon Twitter a few hours ago:

"Happy 2 report @RicFlairNatrBoy is awake, communicating & progressing..but there are complications so needs rest for the 1st time in 40 yrs. He did cut a promo on a nurse yesterday so anyone that knows @RicFlairNatrBoy knows that's a very, very good sign ????On behalf of @RicFlairNatrBoy THANK YOU 4 the outpouring of prayers & well wishes (altho the offers 4 a kidney seemed a little excessive :) The man outlived a plane crash & being struck by lightening, he is a survivor.Grateful 4 all the love & respect sent @RicFlairNatrBoy way ????????"

Anyone that uses "cutting a promo" to describe a real-life interaction deserves to be shot.
