People are always talking about how legit tough Haku was....

Why does Doug Dellinger not get spoken about with the same reverence? For years, every single WCW wrestler backed down when Dellinger came to take care of business. He wasn't even taken off his feet once. Haku got pinned loads of times.

No one knocked on a door to let Goldberg know his match was up next better than Doug Dillinger.

Dellinger was good, but he was no Jim Dotson.

Hogan hit him with a chair on Nitro in Dec 95/Jan 96 but backed off when Mongo and William the Refrigerator Perry came down to stop him.

I won the WCW Title with Dellinger because he was randomly in the WCW Mayhem video game.

Boston Crab was the submission. I do not remember his other one but he could do hurricanranas.

But could he win an MMA fight with it?

Dotson is the security guy that Meltzer referred to as "a refrigerator with a head". Dude was a beast

It always surprised me that the WWF never put Jim Dotson in the ring. He had a great power lifter look and he was as over with the fans as he could be in that position. He never really did anything, but was perceived as a badass just due to his appearance. They ran one angle with him, I think involving Steve Blackman, but it never came to anything. I recall that Dotson didn't want to be in the ring. He died in late 2015.

Wasn't Dotson one of Big Show's witnesses that he won the 2000 Royal Rumble, rather than The Rock?

He really enjoyed his job and just didn't have the desire to step in the ring. Dotson ran into some pretty serious health problems and when he died he was legally blind.

YES!!! I used him in this game as well.  I couldn't believe he was a playable character.  I can't remember his finisher either mostly because this game totally sucked, especially compared to WCW/nWo World Tour and Revenge.

Getting royalties for that game was probably the biggest paycheck he ever got.

I had a PS1 and not a N64 back then, so Mayhem was the best wrestling game available. The previous games were Nitro and Thunder.....and those games were more memorable for their wrestler intros.

He was in the awful WCW Backstage Assault as well. Even more mind-boggling was that he was playable from the start in that one. At least in Mayhem he was an unlockable character.
