More Corgan trying to make this bologna look more like prime rib. Tonight in Clarksville, TN we get Tim Storm vs. Jocephus for the title. There's a link to a pre-match staredown. Terrible.

I’d pay to see Tim Storm vs. Ralphus.

Storm retains the title. This match apparently was live streamed on Instagram and wasn't even the main event of the show. No, that illustrious spot went to a match with Samuel Shaw vs. Crazzy Steve.

Good thing Corgan has a 20 year plan.

2 former TNA mid-carders headlined over the NWA champ. Reminds me of the time when Harley Race defended the 10 pounds of gold on the undercard of the big Mike Jackson-Gary Royal match.

"Mr. Schoolteacher with 19 grandchildren."

These people need to watch some old Ric Flair promos. You're supposed to put over the guy you're facing. Now this chump just lost to a schoolteacher with 19 grandchildren.

Yeah, that's the first thing I noticed.  Flair was at his best in 1986 and 1987 when he'd come out and put over the entire face roster, talking about how fucking great the NWA was, and then he'd tell everyone he was going to win.

For all the mockery, Tim Storm’s mother was the only person who knew who he was 2 months ago and now a lot of fans are talking about him, even if it isn’t in flattering terms. That’s something. He’s surpassed Mike Rapada in name recognition as far as NWA champs go.

I think Billy Corgan is making very good use of the fact that he is Billy Corgan. He may be a wrestling money mark, but there will be a lot of people in the wrestling world who are Billy Corgan marks and will work with him because they want to meet him.

C’mon, you know the deal...Champ wrestles before the intermission so he can get out of the arena first so he doesn’t get bombarded with the hundreds of Autograph seeking fans that wait after the show to meet him.  Jeez, how quickly some forget.

Ric Flair put over how credible a challenger like Ron Garvin was to his belt for almost three years - even though we all knew he wasn’t - so that when it came time to drop the belt to him, we all bought it.  Flair would do a 2 min promo putting over Dusty, Magnum, Garvin, Slater, 90 year old Bob Armstrong, Landel, Harley, all in one breath - and everybody bought a ticket to hopefully see one of them shut his mouth.

Howard Brody used to use that old MSG excuse for why the NWA title matches weren't headlining his cards in Florida.
