I hope Billy Corgan is paying this guy to travel to these shows because otherwise Tim Storm will be homeless by Memorial Day.

The Cage of Death show, CZW's WrestleMania.  Well, they're getting him indy exposure at least.  I don't know how CZW fans will take to him though.

If he lets them take a photo with the 10 pounds of gold, the entire arena will stand in line to do it.

The corgan / storm relationship must be making some waves. I had a casual wrestling fan I use to work with reach out to me yesterday asking about storms upcoming defense against dreamer. Said he came across the promo on YouTube.

That's pretty impressive since a lot of casual fans couldn't even tell you who the ROH or NJPW champion is.  People can mock all they want, but he's drawing interest somehow.  It's Week 2 though, let's see where they are in 6 months.

Jocephus is a solid hand. As is Storm. The NWA title is now more alive than the Impact belt.

Now, think of the irony of that.

This Jocephus clown isn't done just yet! He "confronts" Billy Corgan at a recording session to whine about Tim Storm's use of a foreign substance in his eyes lol. This is terrible and not even in a haha way.

Wow. That was like a Lucha Underground vignette if Robert Rodriguez was having a bad trip and lost 75% of his budget. But when Corgan starts singing like Ann-Margaret, that was pretty haha funny. I look forward to all the no-name indy wrestlers crashing the next Smashing Pumpkins concert as confused fans wonder what the fuck is happening. Corgan officially has THE SICKNESS.

I kinda liked it. It's something different. I quite enjoy the Lucha Underground/Chikara (or Broken Universe) way of presenting wrestling as taking part in a fictional world. Corgan is doing a much better job than Impact of getting eyeballs on the product. I'll happily watch five minutes of NWA a week on YouTube.

I agree that when done right the LU method is really quite entertaining and I have no problem whatsoever suspending my disbelief for it.  It took a little getting used to, but I even enjoyed the idea that the LU vignettes aren't really being televised and no one is supposed to know about them (including the commentators), the fans are just supposed to be flies on the wall.  After you accept that, it just becomes so much easier to swallow than the WWE method of putting things on TV and the only guy who's clueless about it is the wrestler being talked about.

Of course the operative phrase here is "when done right".  I'll give Corgan credit for trying new things and without a doubt creating a buzz that the NWA hasn't seen in 15 years and that TNA hasn't seen in at least 5 years.  But LU has a legit bad-ass motherfucking Hollywood director in Robert Rodriguez guiding the process (even if he isn't there day-to-day, those vignettes were originally his vision made in his image), and until this season a pretty legit budget too.  Corgan doesn't have the budget and isn't nearly cinematic enough to pull it off without it looking goofy.  But yeah, he's getting some attention and using whatever is left of his celebrity status as best as possible.  I just also think he's going off the deep end a bit and wrestling is going to wind up destroying his career long before he makes a dime from the NWA.

It would help if the matches delivered even a little bit as well.
