Good one that I forgot about.

Almost in tears, he stated that Magga TA was the toughest man he ever fought and he earned his respect, and until Magga TA can come back, Nikita Koloff will fight for him.  And TBS Studios came unglued.

Thanks

Even though you knew it was coming from a mile away, seeing Hogan get laid by Orndoff out was great

It was Ole and JJ. Nikita kicked Ole out of the cage and it was 2 on 1 against JJ. Dusty beat him half to death with his cast, then Nikita held him up and Dusty came down across his skull for the 3 count. The aftermath also saw a stunned Ivan getting yelled at by Flair and Tully on crutches.

The best have been mentioned, but Jimmy Garvin turning face because Ronnie was burned by Jim C was pretty good.

Chris Adams turning on the Von Erichs was a good one.

The Freebirds slamming Kerry Von Erich's head in the cage door thus turning them heel was good too.

It wasn't as big from an impact but Mike Davis turning heel and being brainwashed into thinking he was Dusty Rhodes was well done.

For something more current. Tomasso Ciampa. Possibly the best heel turn in the past 20 years.

Some great ones already mentioned, but my personal favorite was Barry turning on Luger and joining the Horseman.

Other notables -

- Jimmy Garvin coming to the aid of Ron and then bum rushing the heels dressing room and beating the shit out of Cornette.

- Diesel's heel turn after losing the belt to Bret. Later, he played a tweener until a full turn on Shawn.

- Sting turning on Eddie Gilbert and siding with Chris Adams against Gilbert and Taylor and the brawl afterward.

- Piper's babyface turn in Georgia when coming to the aid of Solie.

And one that I didn't see live, but that I've watched a half dozen times on youtube is Masked Superstar's babyface turn in MidAtlantic after having words with Gene Anderson. That was stellar.

Ciampa might be the only heel to get legit heat in the past 20 years.  And they said it couldn't be done anymore.

Loved the Peter Maivia turn on Backlund. Yea, it was telegraphed but I hated Backlund as a face and laughed at him crying hysterically.

Andre's 1987 turn was well done. I'd say it's definitely Top 10.

For "80's kayfabe era" WWF, it seems most of their face turns were either slow or telegraphed. I'm thinking of Muraco, Jake the Snake, Macho Man, Demolition, Beefcake, Piper, Undertaker and Paul Orndorff in 1985. I don't think they had any sudden babyface turns (like Nikita Koloff, posted earlier).

I actually liked the Tugboat/Typhoon turn. You didn't know until the match started that something might be up. Then, he officially turned by squashing the Bushwhackers. That scores some points.

I recall Barry Windham's turn on Dustin Rhodes. They teased the hell out of it for months, stopped teasing it, and just when you thought that they dropped it Windham did the turn.

the best turn of all time was Hogan joining the NWO. by this time i was pretty jaded with wrestling. but even i was like "Wow. damn that was good" and the fans reaction after just put it right over the top. it was just awesome.

others were Barry Windham joining the Horseman. Greg Valentine turning on Ric Flair.

Thanks!  I knew it was two Horsemen...been a long time since I watched.
