9:15pm central time, going to flip on Starrcade ‘85 and watch.  No work tomorrow.  Anyone else around?
Some awful video production to start us off.  Johnny Weaver doing backstage work, Caudle and Tony doing commentary.
And we start off with the national anthem.

Match 1- Sam Houston v. Krueger Kruschev for the Mid Atlantic title.

Sonny Fargo is your ref, like anyone cares.

Sonny Fargo dressed like a fucking banana from head to toe.

Kruschev wins belt even though Houston’s foot was on rope. No blood so far.

Match 2 - Ragin Bull vs. Abby. Fan rips off Abby’s turbin on the way to the ring and shit goes crazy.

LOL - Abby is already bleeding and he hasn’t even made it to the ring yet. He’s busted open from the fan altercation.

Abby and Bull worked their asses off in this match, both were pissed about going on 2nd and decided to bring their working boots instead of half assing it due to their position on the card. Possibly the best Abby match I ever saw, and the only one that doesn’t involve Bruiser Brody, Carlos Colon, or Cactus Jack that I can actually remember.

I always liked the bull’s work and am surprised JCP didn’t keep him around. He single handedly couldn’t have made JCP better during the 87/88 stale period but he wouldn’t have hurt it either.

Roger Kent your ring announcer on this one with dyed black hair.

It’s a sombrero on a pole match. It works. It’s fucking awesome. Total bloodbath. Manny monkey flips Abby. Manny wins.

Johnny Weaver in Greensboro locker room interviewing Kruschev as “the first new champion tonight.” Nice foreshadowing, Johnny. Christ.

Weaver is just fucking awful.

Match 3 coming up: Texas bullrope: Ron Bass vs Black Bart

Weaver and Valiant should have both been barred from the building from 84 on.

Buckets of blood being shed. This is gruesome.

Bass and Bart were the “Long Riders”? Didn’t know they used that name too.
