I didn't even realize he was still alive. For a wrestler that worked as much as he did, to live to be almost 90 is like finding a unicorn being ridden by a leprechaun. RIP to the sensational, intelligent Destroyer. Or so the t-shirt said.

Years ago I bought a Destroyer mask from an ad in Wrestling Revue. I still have it somewhere.

I first met Dick at CAC in 2003. He could barely move, using a walker. If you would of told me he'd live another 16 years, I would of said you were crazy. He was special, a true Legend in Japan. Debbie Harry's favorite wrestler.

RIP Dick "The Intelligent Sensational Destroyer" Beyer

I saw him a few times at MLG in the early 80's. Obviously by then, way past his prime. DIdn't really realize who he was till a number of years later

Not to be confused with the guy who wore the Doctor X mask and confederate flag T-shirt at the Mid-South TV tapings. RIP.

I saw Debbie Harry with the t-shirt, and I am not doubting it, but where did she grow up watching Dick Beyer on tv?  She's from the New Jersey/ New York area.  As far as I know, he didn't wrestle much (if it all) for the McMahons.
