Hall of Fame video package is shown from last night, and now the class of 2019 is introduced on the stage.  Torrie Wilson stayed in town despite her dad passing away recently.

Used to get together starting with Heat, maybe halfway through the show, watch the 3hr Mania show, order food, a few drinks, be out about 10:15pm Central Time. A decent 3.5 hrs, maybe a bit longer.

How the fuck do people watch an 8-hr show in any form?

Same for me and my gang in the late 80's, and then sporadically through the 90's. The ECW reunion show is the last one we did it for (the first one). Your night sounded exactly like ours. ...and yeah no way could we do an 8 hour run. Or would we want to. Just a crazy long event. Longer doesn't mean better or more special and I'm not sure anyone ever told Vince et al that...

Live shot of Times Square as WWE continues to pretend they’re even close to NYC.

Wrestlers fathers don't have a good track record in the E. Just ask Al Wilson.....oh right, you can't.

I really worry about Shane. He has not looked good after his last few matches. He’s seemed on the verge of a heart attack. And you know he’ll go all out tonight.

So far, old man Shane is pummeling Miz and making him look bad. It was to the point where Miz's dad had to save him, and then got his butt kicked too. Now they are fighting out in the crowd, and Shane is still landing a lot, even after the dad beatdown that fueled Miz's comback.

Miz winds up suplexing Shane from an elevated camera position down to a lower platform.  Shane kinda lays on top of Miz after the landing, so Shane goes over.  Rematch at Backlash.

Shane wins after Miz superplexes him off of the caneraman’s platform into a staging area, but Shane lands on top of him. Good brawl all over the building.

The crowd didn't really pop for the superplex. Shane does look like a walking myocardial infarction.

Wonen’s Tag title 4-way is up next. This show desperately needs an epic match on it but I just don’t know where it can come from. Certainly this won’t be it.

About a year from now on a WWE Network "24" documentary, they will claim it was actually a huge pop but the sound was sucked out of the top of the open stadium.
