It also means an immediate bump in pay back on the indy scene.  Guys who were barely used in WWE can up their per night fee by twice as much for a good year or so afterwards.  And don't think WWE doesn't know it.  That's why it's getting much more difficult to get released.  WWE went from being the end-all, be-all for decades to being a negotiating ploy, and it drives Vince nuts.

Well it seems like the simple fix to that is sign less talent and work to make sure the talents time with the company actually means something.

I understand the E having to staff up to a point but after awhile it seemed like the E was just being mean by signing more and more people.

Rush has removed all mentions of WWE from his social media. Seems he's as good as gone.

This is very perplexing to me as he came off as a nice kid starting out. I did one of, if not his first interview online when I was helping out as a writer for MCW - a Maryland indie. I also worked with him (not in the ring obviously) when I was part of the Lancaster indie LCW/Keystone Pro. He knew me from Maryland and had questions about our tag team tournament and sought me out. Never anything but a respectful nice guy and the WWE was his dream. Not sure what has happened.
I still have a JPEG copy of the interview if anyone would want to read it.

Sure, post the interview.

Well Patrick Clark is Velveteen Dream and I think they'll have better luck with him. IMO he's already ready to main event WM.

Yeah Patrick and Lio came up as a team in MCW out of their training school.  I have an interview with him too if I can find it.  They were so athletic they really stood out.

Seems like he's gone to me, although PWInsider doesn't say it:

MCW announced today that Lio Rush, who first trained there before signing with WWE, will be returning to the promotion next week to make a special signing appearance on Saturday 6/1 in Joppa, MD to benefit MCW star The Bruiser, who is battling leukemia.  It will be Rush's first appearance for the promotiion since signing with WWE.

PWInsider is still saying that Rush is under contract and is expected to be sent to NXT in a move that is designed to try to make everyone happy.

For several years, we did conventions. I started the tradition that the low new man or woman was responsible for setting up our booth. I made one exception when a new woman to the company was too small to lift some of the stuff. I set up with her. The only other rule I had was you could party all you wanted but I better see you at the booth at 8 am. We usually had 4 people go to these conferences. 3 were usually hung over. All except me.

Lio Rush is smaller than most small women.
