PWInsider is reporting that Natalya and Alexa Bliss will be going to Saudi Arabia, the first time WWE women's wrestlers have traveled there.  It's virtually impossible that they will be able to wrestle, so they will probably do commentary or something similar.  Renee Young is already calling the show, as usual.

Was Undertaker vs. Goldberg the worst main event in WWE history in terms of execution? Both men were done after 2 minutes and went 10. They couldn’t stand and botched every move. They’re lucky someone didn’t get seriously hurt. I was embarrassed for them. They just need to stop. That was worse than Willie Mays falling down in the outfield for the Mets.

In response to criticism of the match, Goldberg tweeted that he knocked himself out early (presumably on the spot where he split his head) and thought he could continue the match as planned but clearly couldn’t. I don’t know what Undertaker’s excuse will be because he was just as bad.

Someone is really gonna get killed in one of these “legends matches” if they keep this up. I know guys did this into their 60s decades ago, but not as physical a style. Even just planning a match of signature moves for 10 minutes is way too much to expect and way too dangerous at this point. Undertaker needs to thank his lucky stars that Goldberg didn’t break his neck on that jackhammer attempt.  Imagine the publicity if that had happened.

Sounds like a wreck; I’m curious to see what my sons thoughts will be of the show. He is watching it right now.

Years ago I thought it would be interesting if the E had a legends title or something to that affect but after seeing some of these guys return or hang on quickly made me realize it’s a terrible idea.

Imagine flying wrestlers out to Saudi only to have them eliminated from a 51 (yep) man battle royal after less than 60 seconds. I'm pretty sure that Karl Anderson just jumped over the top rope when the bell rang without anyone throwing him.

If they wanted this to a "WrestleMania-equivalent" event, this was the worst ever WrestleMania, and Undertaker-Goldberg the worst WM main event by some margin.

On the other hand it was refreshing to see all those Muslim people cheering for that old jewish man.

So did Goldberg ‘pre-blade’ and then open himself up on the post?  It was obvious to me that he hit that post way too hard and they didn’t really botch the match - he was out on his feet for most of the match.  I don’t think he was blown up, I think he was out of it completely.  For what it’s worth, Goldberg physically looked better than any 53 year old wrestler should, and Taker looked completely shot.  Yet, Taker followed through on every move, including a tombstone where he got zero help.  I think if he tried to jackknife him, it would’ve gone worse than the Jackhammer did.

I just watched the Taker/Goldberg match and poor Mean Mark looked like he was on the verge of tears after the match. He can also thank his lucky stars that the botched jackhammer wasn't botched enough to put him in a wheelchair for life. I'm not one for hyperbole but this was as easily as bad as the infamous Jake Roberts match on that Legends of Wrestling PPV from 20 years ago.

Goldberg did not pre-blade. Riddle joked about Goldberg bleeding before the match even began but that’s because Goldberg is nuts and bashes his head into a locker or the door before his entrance. He has legit done that for more than 20 years, even after it wasn’t filmed anymore. But that wasn’t where Goldberg split himself open. That was more on top of his head and he very obviously was out on his feet at that point. A younger ‘Taker could’ve covered for him, and at any age he should’ve vetoed the jackhammer and been smart enough to direct the match with low-risk moves. But that didn’t happen and ‘Taker is very lucky he wasn’t paralyzed or killed. I have to believe that this match opened his eyes and we’ve seen the last of him, of he’ll have one last proper retirement match. But the look in his eyes after that match said it all: “I can’t do this anymore”. It was very sad.

Didn't see it because the forecast was calling for severe thunderstorms and high winds and telephone poles flying out of the ground was far more entertaining but
a 51 man Battle Royale? Seriously, that must have been gawd awful.Wouldn't the wrestlers have been so close together that some wrestlers are inadvertently (maybe) getting their "stools" pushed in by any wrestler behind them early in the match.

Rossi,
Let me guess. Your wife gave you a word a day calendar and " plebeian" was a recent word?
Either that or you are channeling Nick Bockwinkel interviews with him standing in front of a Kerry von Erich dick poster to make it more interesting.
Asking for a friend.

Ok I’ll bite. What the fuck are you going on about?  I didn't even use the word “plebeian” so your usual poor attempt at trolling makes even less sense. We need to either eliminate the trolling or get back to the high-caliber trolling of years gone by. The current crop of insults recently have been really bad and they’re becoming more frequent (and I’m not even involved in most of them!). This board isn’t open mic night at the Chuckle Hut. Get your shit together people.

Maybe the word senile will come up soon.
First post of this thread and then your rant on that POS minority Golden State owner.
That's ok though. Just having fun with you. POTY is only 10 months away, Susan.

Uh, "Mean" Mark looked old. And he dropped Goldberg on his head. Goldberg dropped himself on his head, though, FWIW.

Funniest thing I've read in a while.

Also, they kept talking about how hot it was down there by the ring.  What would be the approximate in-ring temperature at the start of that 51 man battle royal with all of those bodies in there?

Your guesses?
