Chris Jericho has applied for "Painmaker" and "The Inner Circle" trademarks. Note that these were not AEW filings, so Jericho will own them and be able to use them anywhere. He was using the "Painmaker" name in NJPW in his feud with Okada so that one pre-dates AEW. ESPN MMA reporter Marc Raimondi tweeted that Jake Hager will be accompanied to the cage by Inner Circle stablemates Sammy Guevara, Ortiz, and Santana tonight when he fights Anthony Garrett in the opening match of Bellator 231. I hope there's a run in. Hager skipped Dynamite this week as he was in fight camp. The main event will be washed up UFC fighters Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson. But I can totally see the people at Mohegan Sun saying "who the fook are those guys?"

But I can totally see the people at Mohegan Sun saying "who the fook are those guys?" People say that about all the assholes who come out with the fighters. Some guys have entourages numbering in the millions. The best was when Dan Severn came out with Al Snow and Dennis Carlouzzo wearing the NWA belt on one of the first UFC shows. It’s funny that in AEW they shit on Hager’s old gimmick but in Bellator he comes out to a “We The People” Titantron video. He came out to “Rooster” by Alice in Chains. He’s wearing an Inner Circle shirt and Guevara, Ortiz, and Santana got TV time. Announcer Mike Goldberg also gave Jericho a shout out. Now he just needs to win.

Wow, Hager with 2 low blows in the 1st round and Anthony Garrett crumples to the mat in the fetal position and can’t continue. They ruled it unintentional so the fight is a no-contest and not a DQ. AEW should play it up as intentional though and try to salvage something from that debacle. AEW announced that they have signed retired British boxer Anthony Ogogo. Ogogo won a bronze medal in the Olympics and was 11-1 as a pro. Ogogo was a bit of a B-level celebrity in England and appeared on the British versions of Big Brother and Dancing With the Stars. Jon Moxley cut a great intense in-ring promo last night, but they’ve only let him and Jericho do an unscripted in-ring promo so far, and we know they can do it already. If this whole “no writers” thing is going to take off, they really need to let a few of the round guys sink or swim. They’ll never be able to talk unless they try.

I think Cody will be alright, but yes I would really love to see Omega and The Young Bucks really give an intense promo to see where they are at. I was kinda distracted when it happened, but didn't Adam Page have the mic? I have no idea how long it went. Instead of typing it all out again, here is what I posted about the episode over at WC a couple hours ago: I was at my Dad's place when I watched it. He hasn't watched AEW before. He wasn't much interested in it early on, but came and sat down when the women's match started ![]()

Adam Page basically said one line about how he was going to do “some cowboy shit” at the PPV. It was a line that got a nice pop, but it wasn’t a full promo.

I have come to the conclusion that I mostly dislike the tag tournament in AEW and a lot of their tag teams.

PWInsider: The numbers are in for the fifth night of the Wednesday Night Wars and AEW has extended their streak to 5-0. But that is probably the only good news as both shows once again saw major slippage in their audience. AEW Dynamite on TNT did 759,000 overnight viewers, down from the 963,000 that they did last week. They were down 21% from last week and down 46% since week one. NXT on USA was down as well as they dropped to a series low 580,000 overnight viewers, down from last week's 698,000 viewers. They were down 17% from last week and down 51% since week one, which was unopposed. Yes they went up against Game 7 of the World Series but still, it's concening. As I said last week, we still have not found the bottom yet for the Wednesday night audience Date NXT Audience NXT People 18-49 Rating AEW AEW People 18-49 Rating 9/18/18 1,179,000 0.43 N/A N/A 9/25/19 1,006,000 0.32 N/A N/A 10/2/19 891,000 0.32 1,409,000 0.68 10/9/19* 790,000 0.22 1,140,000 0.46 10/16/19 712,000 0.20 1,014,000 0.44 10/23/19 698,000 0.21 963,000 0.45 10/30/19 580,000 0.18 759,000 0.33 *Note: On 10/9/19 AEW did 1,018,000 viewers on TNT and 122,000 on TruTV due to being simulcast because of the MLB playoffs.
