It’s walking that fine line between being domineering like Vince and being complete pussies to the point that there is no boss. Even the guys begging for a release in WWE are at every single show because they know there will be holy hell to pay if they’re not.

“Didn’t get on my flight for @AEWrestling Dynamite tonight, I’m not going…. Nothing was addressed about the way I was eliminated from the match last week, I’m losing all the steam I created on my own through 14 years of hard work, right these wrongs and answer the phone..”

Really curious to see where this goes; at the end of the day the boss needs to be a boss they need to be able to separate what is best for business from the employees feelings. This is already starting to sound like WCW jr.

Jim Ross called one of the Japanese women an “oriental” last night. Say hi to Cornette for me, JR.

A new tag team debuted on Dynamite last night, attacking Cody Rhodes. They were identified as The Blade and The Butcher, managed by The Bunny. Bunny is Allie repackaged. Blade is her husband Braxton Sutter/Pepper Parks from Impact. Butcher is Andy Williams, the rhythm guitarist for metalcore band Every Time I Die who has been wrestling on the indies for a few years now.

J.R. has a backbone made of wet toilet paper. He'd apologize without hesitation if he was asked.

I just have to say that this weeks AEW episode was the most entertaining weekly wresting show since RAW in 1997...REally, it was that good imo.

Whoever Marco Martinez is, he should never be allowed to speak ever again. Not just on TV, to anyone, ever. Worse than the worst of Percy Watson.

Thank God it was just for one match. He only said 4 words but the way he was whispering them annoyed me.

AEW really need to do a better job of introducing unknown heels. Wardlow, The Blade, The Butcher and The Bunny. Who the fuck are these guys? Why did Excalibur know exactly who the guys under the ring were, but JR had zero clue? You can't just bring complete unknowns in and have them attack one of your main event names. Especially when the are not physically impressive at all. Two bald guys who wouldn't have looked out of place in SMW.

The opening promo was awful this week. At least the crowd were into it, but Soul Train Jones, a 15 minute opening promo and a load of US sports bullshit that went right over my head did absolutely nothing for me. I could not give two fucks about ice hockey rivalries. If I was watching live, I would have turned over to NXT to see if they were showing any wrestling. Jericho's dad is a surprisingly decent promo, though.

The second hour was very good. PAC vs Omega was the match of the night, but NXT is the better show at the moment.

Seeing that AEW is only doing one show a week so far, are any of the bigger names (Jericho, Omega, Moxley, Bucks etc..._) working anywhere else right now?

I agree. What the hell is from with Excalibur, does he just not get it?

JR set him up perfectly to give us an explanation as to who they are and  it flew right over his head. He just relied to JR that it was Blade and Butcher. The guy is so indy. I'm not sure he belongs long term if he cant adjust his style of announcing to appeal to the masses. How does Excalibur not get that?

What qualifications does Excalibur have? He wrestled like 10 years ago, but really, does that make him an announcer? I don’t think so. In fact, for as many people that have said that time has passed JR and he’s a shell of his old self, I still believe he’s better than Excalibur. I also think that the awful work that JR and Josh Barnett did with All Japan was better than Excalibur.

Excalibur was the announcer for PWG for a long period of time.

JR sucks because he doesn't enjoy what AEW is doing. Skeeavone is clearly their best announcer.
