That’s strike 2. His immaturity is going to be the end of him.

This week’s “paid advertisement” on Impact had Tony Khan on the Jaguars football field with several AEW stars. They did the usual hype tomorrow’s Dynamite/bash Impact schtick. This time they had the wrestlers doing it though and not just Tony. Brian Cage made his return to Impact and buried their title, saying the last time it was relevant was when he held it. Britt Baker and Ricky Starks made their Impact debuts, and Matt Hardy and Private Party were there again to talk about their feud with Adam Page. It was a bit of an old school interview segment with a group of heels together talking about their upcoming matches, the way the Four Horsemen first formed just because a group of heels did a group promo together.

I liked it, but at this point the Impact bashing is a bit of overkill considering Impact never insults AEW back, and last night there was no live AEW involvement or mention outside of the paid ad. So they’re just getting clowned on their own show repeatedly but I don’t feel like there’s ever a payback coming.

Tony Khan has conformed that the Dark: Elevation show on YouTube is separate from the long-rumored 2nd show that TNT will air later in the year. So AEW could be looking at as many as 7 hours of new content each week by the end of the year.

This was a really weak episode of Dynamite. Several jobber matches and nothing all that compelling.

Tommy Dreamer has apparently taken offense at this, tweeting:

Dreamer isn't wrong. What he is saying is perfectly logical.

Anybody think Khan has some sort of monetary stake in this now? Because unless Impact wins the feud - and wins it big - they are being made to look totally minor league right now. It's almost as if Khan is buying them out and shitting on them the way Vince did with WCW. But if this is a legit feud and Impact doesn't score big with it, they are being just kicked further down the rung. The thing is, they can't even say that the Good Brothers are winning the feud for them, because they are doing it with Omega and Callis. Where this can get really good is if Omega sides with them and then takes over Impact on his own...thus causing Khan to have to "fight to get him back to AEW". Otherwise, Impact is just getting murdered here, slowly yet decisively.

Tonight on Impact Tony Khan cut a promo saying they may have their differences but AEW, Impact, and NJPW are all on the same side against “them”, and “you know who they are”. He then hyped Shaq and Paul Wight tomorrow on Dynamite and the Revolution PPV this Sunday.

Holy shit did they get a lot out of Shaq. He did more than I expected, a lot more. AEW just fucked up and cut to the ambulance too soon...Shaq was moving his legs. Then they cut back 10 seconds later and he’s gone. This is interesting. Wonder if they have him come out later and go after Paul Wight.

I hated Jade Cargill when she came out the first time.  Then she broke Brandi’s arm (which was Brandi’s way of getting out of it because she was already pregnant).  But watching her in the ring tonight?  She has a better look than anybody in WWE and if you put her in against anybody from Shayna to Charlotte to Nia Jax, she would look like a legit threat.  They need to build their women’s division around her, and Vicki as her mouthpiece would be brilliant.

I really wish Shaq had wrestled a bit 10-15 years ago when he was AJ ways teasing it. For 48 and 7 feet that was pretty damn impressive.

So, they killed the power bomb with Cody instantly recovering and hitting Shaq with that fist. That bodyslam looked like garbage, too. Table spot looked great, though.
