Let me lay out the scenario. Babyface is screwed in a 'loser leaves town' match and then returns a week or two later under a mask. Midnight Rider, Mr R, The Bullet, Dirty Yellow Dog, etc

Fun stuff?

But I hear a voice that says these angles damaged the credibility of wrestling as the promoter and on-air commissioners 'played dumb' to it all

Sounds like a wrestling message board(s) - not this one -after a certain Crimson Mask (or a CM wannabe) bans everyone they can, knowing they will come back under a hood, thus expanding their registered users. Not fun stuff.

JYD/Stagger Lee. They would occasionally throw a wrench into the story by having both in the same place at the same time.

The best were when some Announcer would speculate that Charlie Brown was Dusty Rhodes, or Giant Machine was Giant Baba. Even the most retarded wrestling fan would think the announcer was an even bigger dipshit for coming up with these ludicrous notions.

The Mr R thing worked when they had Brad Armstrong take over for Rich.

I always enjoyed it especially for the announcer piece that Principal mentioned but then again I always liked the masked confusion gimmick the Bee’s had as well especially with SD Jones

The Flying Redhead was cool. I miss Red Bastein, a very nice man.

I kind of remember them doing it with Koko BEE Ware.

Loved Koko coming in without the tag and the ref not being able to tell.

Strangely, it's a gimmick that should work better now, because we're all in the secret now.

Here comes the fucking tears, again, from the board comedian-wannabe.   Stu’s Spatula probably liquored up, again, telling jokes in front of the mirror.   What a dumb ass.   Who cries and pouts for almost a year after getting your ass banned from a pro wrestling message board?  That is embarrassing.

Get up on the table and try some more one-liners to get your attention fix, sad little boy.

In every three or four posts on this board this sad, lonely soul attempts a funny one-liner so to reinforce himself that he is funny to some audience even an internet wrestling message board.   Just think of what type of warped person does that?   Sad or scary....take your pick?

It was last done by Hulk Hogan/Mr. America in 2003. It's been more than 15 years so I'd say they can do it again. As long as it's not over-exposed, I think this old gimmick is fine.

I'll admit, I laughed when watching the Mid-Atlantic episode where Jimmy Valiant and "Charlie Brown" featured in a promo.
