If I didn't have to work I would ordered it.

Well they better have a lot more people order this one since they have a TV show now and the other PPV was almost completely unadvertised.  They need to do significantly better or Power was a complete failure.

They don’t need another title.

Interested to hear how the show was

Way too soon. They’re crazy if they think they can have monthly PPVs.

Just finished watching it.  It was...an NWA show.  We saw some of the things that made Power a fun throwback, and some of the things that made it a cheesy mess. We did not see anything resembling a classic match.  If you read the results, you saw the show.  There's really not much more to say than that.  I didn't hate but I'd never pay $1 for it.  The comedy was out of control in 2 of the matches with The Question Mark and Aron Stevens.  It just kills the chances of taking the product seriously.  The main event had a 2-minute first fall and a finish straight out of 1986 with a ref bump and an exposed turnbuckle.  Marty Scurll showing up was a nice surprise but he already got his NWA title shot at the Crockett Cup so how big a deal is it to do it again?  Ricky Starks stole the show as far as real athletic ability goes and should be in NXT one day.  Everyone else is destined for Impact or the old age home.

PWInsider:

The National Wrestling Alliance announced that Marty Scurll, who appeared as a surprise at the end of their Into the Fire PPV over the weekend, will be appearing on tomorrow's edition of NWA Powerrr TV.

Scurll was interviewed following the PPV by Dave Marquez, an interview that will be featured on Powerrr.

The NWA has also announced that Stu Bennett will get the exclusive on Scurll's future.

Scurll's Ring of Honor deal expired at the end of November.  He has appeared in ROH since and is still one-third of their Six Man Tag Team Champions as part of Villain Enterprises.

The NWA taped Powerrr episodes last night in Atlanta, GA and will have another round of tapings tonight.  The tapings are sold out.  PWInsider.com is seeking spoiler reports.

On the first a Power of Season 2, they announced that every tournament match will have a time limit of 6:05 and both competitors will be eliminated if there isn’t a fall within that time.

I like the idea of time limits for a TV title, but 6:05 is just a little too cutesy honestly.

Last night in a qualifying match to enter the tournament, Zicky Dice beat C.W. Anderson and Sal Rinauro in a 3-way in less than 3 minutes (C.W. looks exactly the same as during his ECW days so I guess that's the advantage of looking 50 when you're 20).  That was a long match by NWA standards.  Last night's show was the longest ever at about 70 minutes, and there was maybe 8 minutes of wrestling on it.

Next week the tournament will begin with Colt Cabana vs. The Question Mark and Ricky Starks vs. Eddie Kingston.

NWA World champion Nick Aldis is also in this tournament for some reason.

There is a great Ric Flair promo where he puts over basically the entire roster, including stating his desire to become the first man to hold both the world's heavyweight and television titles at the some time. If it's good enough for Flair...

Was that in Georgia? I know he challenged Ron Garvin when he was TV champ there.

About 10 years later the value of the NWA title was far less, but after Barry Windham beat Muta for the belt at Super Brawl he cut a promo saying he wanted to win all championships.

Last night they also subtly teased a Nick Aldis-Ricky Morton NWA title match, probably for a future episode of Power.

I think my favorite line of the year is “Mama Storm turned 95 this week, and that’s a shoot.”

The newest NWA wrestler Zicky Dice is currently the star of an online marketing campaign for Indeed, the job search website. The video promises to help you find the job you want in any field, and it follows Dice backstage prepping to make a big entrance for a match.
