On the WWE-backed podcast that Corey Graves hosts, he refused to "confirm or deny" any of the rumors about why they were held in Saudi Arabia.  He would only say "I lived through it firsthand.  You didn't.  I'm not towing the company line but I'm also not in the business of rumor-mongering."

Um, OK.  So clearly it was NOT mechanical problems otherwise he would've just said so.  Every single wrestler who has tried to defend WWE's position has done so with the unspoken caveat that things didn't really go down like reported. which just creates more speculation.

Graves went on to put over the event and the way they were treated while detained, and denied that #TheSaudi20 were the "most important" or given preferential treatment but they were simply the ones advertised for Smackdown who most needed to get out of there.  He joked that if it was about the people with the most clout, that he wouldn't have been on the plane, but Vince wanted him to call the show.  Obviously that still didn't work out.  He blasted talent who took to Twitter to cry about being left behind, so yeah, then he went into full "towing the company line" mode.  Of course, by his own admission, Graves wasn't there so he doesn't have "firsthand" knowledge of what happened after he departed.

WWE has confirmed that WWE Network is no longer available in Saudi Arabia as of the past few days. No word on why this is, but it can't be good for the relationship between WWE and the country.

WWE confirmed this in a tweet, with a link to their website, which linked to the list of countries that have the Network. Saudi Arabia, along with most other Middle Eastern and North African countries are given the note: "WWE Network will not be available in these countries until further notice due to contractual obligations with OSN." OSN is "is a direct-broadcast satellite provider serving the Middle East and North Africa" according to Wikipedia, and they broadcast WWE programming. OSN is based in the United Arab Emirates, so this doesn't look like it has much, or anything, to do with the Saudis in particular. Mike Johnson could have done this in the 2 minutes it took me to do it and made his article accurate before he got poor srossi scared that there wouldn't be any more Saudi PPVs.

FUCK the Mike Johnson!
They will probably do what they did in Canada where the "network" isn't available either. Rogers Communications Inc. has a deal with WWE where they offer some bastardized form of the network as a specialty channel. I have no idea how it works, but I don't think subscribers have access to all the content on the regular WWE network.
