WM is clearly next. As I predicted, the shows will move to the PC.

PWInsider:

World Wrestling Entertainment has pulled the plug on this Friday's Smackdown taping in Detroit, Michigan and will instead broadcast Friday Night Smackdown and 205 Live this week from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources. The decision was made today due to the current coronavirus outbreak.

An official announcement regarding the change is forthcoming.

There is no word whether this means this coming Monday's Raw taping will also follow suit.

I love how Mike Johnson always tries to make out that his sources were always correct at the time, but things have changed since then.

WWE issued the following statement:

"WWE has not cancelled Friday Night SmackDown in Detroit, however, based on the current situation, we are putting contingency plans in place in the event that upcoming WWE shows are cancelled by government officials, civil authorities and/or local venues.”

PWInsider.com has been told by several sources that Smackdown would be moved to the WWE Performance Center this Friday and that an official announcement would be forthcoming. It may be that a decision was made and then reversed or that while word was making its way among those in the company, the final "official" decison has not yet been made.

It should be noted that Detroit's Little Caesars Arena, where Smackdown is scheduled to be held, is where Rudy Gobert, the NBA Player who tested positive for the coronavirus, played over the weekend. His positive test led to the NBA suspending their current season.

I would expect more to shake out tomorrow, but if you are a ticketholder for the Friday taping, WWE is stating they are going forward with the taping as of this posting.

Mike Johnson is an idiot.

It's pretty clear that Johnson's sources fed him the contingency plan, which I have no doubt is real and could still very well happen, but treated it as fact. Johnson just needs to own up to it.

"While it was widely reported that Vince McMahon died last night, WWE today released a statement today that he is alive and well. It may be that McMahon had taken a magic potion that made him appear almost dead, or that God made a decision and then reversed it because Greg Oliver needs more time to write his obituary. It should be noted that McMahon is also noted for sleeping with his eyes closed."

Vince is in the high-risk age group so I say Greg start working on that obit ASAP anyway.

Would a TV shoot at the performance center be in front of a smaller audience in almost a TV studio type setting or will there be no fans at all?

Last night's NXT was live from the PC and there was a small audience. They also had an audience for the Halftime Heat special a couple of years ago.

The PC actually looks great on TV and a small, enthusiastic crowd can sound great too. From strictly a TV perspective, this is hardly the end of the world for WWE and they are incredibly fortunate to have this option.

Obviously not trying to make light of a world wide tragedy but this might actually be a freshing up the product needs. Everything from the talent to the sets to the lighting of every show just feels like the same old same old. I don’t bother watching anymore because I feel like I can sit down whenever and it’s always the same. This however is going to make me want to watch at least for a minute.

Damn, they just announced that schools will be closed for 3 weeks, including March Break next week, in Ontario. I'll get my son to start writing pre-obits. I'm getting tired by doing so many.

Vince's lead writes itself, "Ding dong, the witch is dead."

I'm not sure studio-wrestling wouldn't get old after awhile too, but it would certainly be a freshening up of the product.

I’m going to start this conspiracy theory right now: Billy Corgan released Coronavirus to bring everyone else down to the same level of the NWA. Who’s laughing at their 60 paid attendance now, morherfuckers?

Per a recent tweet from WWE, there will be no audience at the PC on Friday.
