Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty's first run in the WWF lasted a week or so.
Stan Hansen in the AWA during 1979.
buzz sawyer was in for about a month and then he vanished quickly.

wrestling II wrestled terry funk at the garden and he was mainly used as a headliner for the southern shows. he lasted maybe 6 months tops.

I don't remember him coming in and I don't remember him leaving. One thing wrestling is great at is that when they want to write people out of the scripts and storylines you don't even catch they are gone for awhile.
I suppose the Freebirds (in the WWF) were another one like that.
What was the story on these?
Also if you have ones that made you scratch your head throw them out there. You would think alot of this stuff wouldn't even make it on to TV.
freebirds were only brought in because vince wanted michael hayes only, but he said that they were a package deal. they were fired because of gordy's and roberts " drinking habits".

I agree with Srossi on Butcher Vachon - he was in longterm and lost a ton of matches
Roddy Piper showed up in the WWF for a week of TV (78 or 79) - and had a few matches at MSG - no mention of any of this when he resurfaced there in 1984

As far as TV appearances go, Gama Singh also did a Piper's Pit.
According to Graham Cawthon's site, he was there on and off (maybe - dunno if there are gaps in the results) for a year.

Piper also had a real brief Florida "run". Gave Charlie Cook a piledriver on the concrete and then ??????
1982 WWF ~ The White Angel was an interesting cat for a few weeks and then gone with no explanation whatsoever. Surprised that whole escapade made it to TV.

That's something...you'd never have known the guy existed for the most part/ Of course, Mad Dog Vachon was the same thing, in terms of being around for a lot longer than it seemed.

Ox Baker- apparently filmed a few tv shots in WWF around 1980 and then never really stayed. I think it was Zybszko who said they were so unimpressed with Ox that they sent him packing and give his MSG shot to Larry in June of 1980.
Peter Maivia- came to MSG for a 6 man tag with the Samoans around 80 or 81 and then left

srossi wrote: This probably doesn't count, but territory guys like Brickhouse Brown and Don Kernodle came in to do jobs a handful of times but never stuck as regular job guys.
Don Kernodle was a regular in the Northeast house shows from about May of 83 through the summer. I know he was on the May 83 MSG show, then some of the MSG shows later that summer. I saw him at the Meadowlands too. He usually would face a guy like Tito Santana and give them a good match before losing.
Rossi, you are probably right about Butcher Vachon being around longer than mid 84 - might have been through the end of that year. He did come in around summer of 83, maybe he lasted almost until 85. After they had his "wedding" on TNT he was not around for much longer though.
