Thanks OFG. I knew there had to be at least one.

Knew it. Team has a good season season and makes some important strides towards only being pitiful, so let's fire the coach.

Which is telling, as not one person here thought that he should be fired.

Doesn't matter in Oakland, the coach of the raiders should be a default pick for everyone since there's no predicting what Crazy Al will do at any given moment.

Davis probably thinks he has a shot at Harbaugh, so he got rid of Cable to create an opening for him. Dumb motherfucker. (Harbaugh is even dumber if he goes there).

This. Harbaugh IS NOT going to Oakland.

There were rumors swirling around  here that Tom Cable was out after the Raiders were eliminated from the playoffs. It was no secret in Nor Cal. Al Davis likes Cable but he loves OC Hue Jackson. Davis also didn't like his boy with the purple drank being released . Accoeding to Davis he was grest.

Harbaugh to SF. But even more importantly, I got my 10 point pick.

Did they let Tomsula go? Or is he still the defensive line coach for next year?

Good (interesting) pick by the way.

Not really sure, but that was precisely why I posted this:

I don't really know...but that was precisely why I posted this question:

Suppose a coordinator is named interim head coach, ala the Vikes' Leslie Frazier (I know Frazier's probably going to be retained as the Vikes head coach, but play along).  Suppose the Vikes decide to go out and hire a new yet coach, yet offer Frazier his old Defensive Coordinator position, which he accepts.  Does that count as a firing, since he's no longer the HC, but technically is still with the team?

Whoops, I somehow managed to quote the original posting twice.
I know, I know...I'm a noob...

Harbaugh has yet to pick his staff but it seems Tomsula is staying.  Only 2 coaches in the NFL are undefeated and he is one of them.:D DC Manusky is interviewing for the Carolina job.

We'll need a ruling on Jeff Fisher's Departure from Tennessee. Nobody seems sure whether he quit, was fired, or if was mutual from what I read in the Sports Forum.

I'm obviously biased in how I hope it goes... :)

The articles I've read on it are vague. Phrases like mutual parting of ways. It is Beej's call. Glad I don't have to rule on it.
