Dang.  I have watched maybe 30 minutes total of golf in the last couple of years, but during those 30 minutes I heard the announcers mention this story (it must be a bfd in the golf universe) and heard them blame it on sombody named Tom Aaron (sp?)

It was Tommy Aaron. Funny part is that Aaron actually gave de Viczenzo a 1-stroke higher score than he actually had. He didn't actually lower the score.
