From the San Jose Sharks' website:

His 43 consecutive starts to start the season was the second longest streak in the League since 1989-90. Martin Brodeur (NJ), 44 starts from 1/3/96 - 4/13/96, is the only goalie to have a longer streak in that time.

I just realized that their dates are not even right. The 95-96 season did not start in January, 94-95 did. Assholes.
