I get the feeling that this is a trick question so I'm going to say Calvin Coolidge at the 1924 and 1925 World Series.

No, it's got to be somebody who was a starting pitcher for the AL team that made the WS one year, and the next year was the starting pitcher for the NL team that made the WS.  (since World Series used to alternate home field advantages).  It's too much research for me, though.

Wasn't it Don Gullet in 76 and 77 with the Reds and Yanks? Wouldn't have even thought of him had I not been a Reds fan.

You threw me off when you said person and not pitcher hence my wrong answer.

Don't get me wrong - I never would have come up with Don Gullet. All I'm saying is that your wording led me to believe that it was a trick question. And I don't want to be the " Star " of this board - I already am !!!!  :D

I was going to do them once a week but I'll compile and post shortly.

Just a note before I post the current standings. All questions and answers after DFG34's question below until DFG34 question of:"Who hit the first home run in Oakland A's history?" were disqualified after BigJ gave an incorrect answer and went ahead and asked the next question before DFG34 could respond with a "no" answer.

The standings will be in my next post.

The pitcher with the eighth longest consecutive scoreless innings streak in the American League also has the tenth longest scoreless innings streak in the AL; interestingly, he did it with different teams.  Name the player, the teams, and the seasons these feats were accomplished.

Again with the friggin Sox.

8. Luis Tiant, 41.0, 1978 Cleveland
10. Luis Tiant, 40.0, 1972 Boston

YOUR RESONSE IS WRONG, Little J!!!  It was 1968, not 1978!  You may want to wait for the question asker's clearance before you post your question like everybody else on the board has been.

(Note to self:  Remember that Mr. J has baseball-almanac.com bookmarked as his homepage.  Do not ask any questions that he can find there.)

Just wanted to mention that JB5 answered the last question correctly, therefore he asks the next question.

Mr. Pink didn't like to tip, which was one of the funniest scenes in an otherwise not very funny movie.
