I've been a Jets fan all my life. Had season tickets for about 5 years until I had to give them up in the early 90's.

Man, that had to suck eh? Is it pretty much zero chance to get season tickets again in this day and age?

Yeah, pretty much. There is a long waiting list, and now, with the new stadium they are building with the Giants, I'm sure that they will follow suit with the PSL's.

When I had the seats, the face value on the tickets were $22.50. I had four seats which I split with a friend. The entire season, including exhibition games, cost us less than $1000.00 (and they were great seats, 45 yard line, 8 rows from the field behind the visitors bench).

The bad part of it was that it used to take me about 3 - 4 hours to get home after every game as the Turnpike was like a friggin parking lot from Jersey all the back to Westchester.

What time would you go to the game? Did you take part in the 'tailgating festivities' much?
That's something I've never done. I've been to games. I went to a Monday night game around November in '99 between The Jets and The Pats at the old Foxboro Stadium. But in reality it wasn't really the most fan friendly for Jet fans like my boss and me at the Patsies home turf. There were Jets fans though. I'll never forget a busload of them who chartered the bus to go up to the game from NYC and was driving up to the stadium to let them off through a sea of Pats fans and they were all drunked up doing the J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! Jets! and tossing empty bear bottles at the walking PATSIES. Great Stuff.
Actually on a sidenote to the game. Derrick Cullors who was a RB for the Pats at the time, who didn't dress for the game as he was injured saw us looking for tickets, walked up to us and gave me one of his comps that he wasn't using. That was real cool of him. We ended up trading that ticket and some cash for two seats that were together. Unfortunately it was right in the heart of all the crazy Charlestown Pats fans so we couldn't openly root for out team lest we would get our asses kicked. They had a couple of strippers up in the stands with them who were showing everyone their tits lol. What a crazy bunch of mofos. They were all pretty cool though, though they didn't know where our allegiance was. HA! It was freezing cold that night too.
BTW the Jets won the game. Parcells was still coaching them. It was the season after they went to the AFC championship game against Denver and Vinny went out the first game of that season. I was convinced they were winning the Super Bowl in '99 after the excellent '98 season, but fucking Vinny went down right off the bat to dash those hopes. Oh well, fun times and memories indeed. I still love Vinny, and always will.

Nah, not much of a tailgate guy - we used to get there about an hour or so before game time. It was a lot of fun back then, but now I am content to watch the games in beautiful HDTV.

Anyone else gonna put some jersey numbers up here???
