I don't think we've had a uni numbers game. Very simple, we name an
athlete wore the uni #. Start with number zero & continue with consecutive numbers.
Any athlete (doesn't have to be the greatest player to wear the number) in
any sport to wear that number & then continue with the next number.
Let's see how far we get. Gretzky wore 99 but getting from say 45 to 99 might be difficult. You can pick an athlete already chosen.

Zero - Al Oliver wore "0" for a number of teams including the Expos & Blue Jays.

Next, name a player who wore number 1

One number per post & please allow someone else to name the next athlete before posting again.

#6-Bill Russell

How far would we get if we did it one major sport at a time?

Pretty sure we could hit up to # 99 for all 4 of major sports leagues in North America. The NBA might be the hardest of the 4 but it could probably be done.

Then we should start over and do one sport at a time.  Don't stop at 99.  How many guys have worn 00?

Hockey is way easier now than it would have been a few decades ago and football for sure has numbers all over the place.  Yeah basketball might be tough unless we can find some Euros with weird numbers.
