it's a longshot, but all 3 of us could end up in a 3 way tie. We would then continue with the playoffs.

I don't think a 3 way tie would be possible. Lobo and I are tied at 14. There is no way that we could both get to 15 with only Sunday's games - unless a Sunday game is rained out and pushed to Monday.

We could end up with 15 pts each if you & I pick winning teams  & Blazer's team  loses.

No, if you and I both picking winning teams then nobody would win that round - it would be a tie round. Same way if Blazer picks a winning team tomorrow, the best either one of us would be able to muster then would be a tie round - and we would be stuck at 14, Blazer would win the championship

Oops, you're right. There can only be a 2 way tie. Wasn't Blazer eliminated on Friday ? The Padres lost on Friday (Blazer's pick).

Blazer was eliminated on Friday from the round that ended Saturday. Sunday will be the start of a new (final) round.

How about this scenario ?  You & I pick winners & Blazer's team loses today.
You & I advance using playoff games (each having 15 points.). The 2 of us pick losers - a double knock-out.You would then have 3 guys with 15 points & a new round (play-off games).

If you and I pick winners in Sunday's game, then the round would be a tie (since there are no more regular season games after Sunday). We would be stuck at 14 and Blazer would win the championship with his 15. There is no possible scenario where you and I would each have 15 since Sunday is the last day of the regular season.

In order for you to advance to force a tiebreaker against Blazer, you need both Blazer and I to lose tomorrow. If any 2 people win tomorrow, Blazer wins the championship outright.

Okay, now I get it. I've been putting far too much thought into this. Dementia is setting in. My pick for today (Sunday) is the Rangers.

BGF has the rules down 100% correctly. The round can't end in a tie with two people getting points, and tomorrow is the last regular season game. We need a clear cut winner tomorrow to end the round, meaning two people need to lose and one person outright wins the round. Any tie scenario ends the season for sure. If there's a winner of the round tomorrow, then we see where things fall.

Also, another wild card is if other people make picks. Nothing preventing Benlen, Khawk, or anyone else from making a pick for tomorrow to "run a little interference" for me :)

Whatever happens, happens. It's been a fun contest. Most seasons (both baseball & hockey) , there is one guy who leads  from day one & wins by a large margin.

Ok, in order to advance to a tiebreaker with Blazer, you will need:

1) The Rangers to win
2) The Pirates to win (Nationals loss)
3) Blazer's pick to lose

All the games start at the same time today. That's interesting.

WTF?! The Nationals are down 5-4 to the Pirates in the top of the 4th and the manager (Dusty Baker) put in a substitute for Ryan Zimmerman so Zimmerman could get a standing ovation coming off the field. Doesn't Dusty realize what this game means!!!??? :)

Go Nats! Go Reds! Go As!
