I never claimed to be Ricky Steamboat or Harley Race, but by Golly this was a lot of fun, I told the actual story here,

http://sportsandwrestling.mywowbb.com/forum1/31132.html

so there is no reason to retell it, but this was something I allways wanted to do if only once, I'm pushing 49 years old and while I have taken some training and learned how to take a bump it was my first time actually wrestling unless you count a few run ins and 30 second manager spots.

Anyways, the match layout was pretty much all my idea, especially the finish,we did most of the other stuff "on the fly" as I hate the idea of trying to go over a match beforehand, and my favorite part was after the match where Ted's daughter gets in a really good shot at me with a cookie sheet.

Anyhow, it's not Wrestlemania, but our crowd liked it, I liked it, and the guys in the back thought it was okay, so in the end that's all that matters,I guess.

(the match takes up after my team lost and the post match "I'm not getting in the cage" type of shenanigans)

That's a nice greco-roman tapout you did there

So Mr. Simon taps out at 7:02 of a 5 minute match...immediately followed by the ring announcer counting down the last 15 seconds of the 5 minute match..after Simon had tapped.

Gotta love the Indys!

Nice work regardless.  ;)

Congrats on this! Just to get in that ring is quite an accomplishment. I am 47 and am battling 3 different injuries at the moment - I couldn't even dream about doing that.

Thanks for the kind words guys, for me as a 48 year old man with a bad back and a Terry Funk style knee that was indeed a lifelong dream fulfilled, it wasn't Wrestlemania in front of 93,00 fans, but it was special to me to be able to do that, I've done several run in's and taken some bumps (if you have never bumped in a ring, trust me, they hurt).

Last show was a lot easier, I just had to do a few corner spots and take a few shots to the head and a handspring elbow, piece of cake there, but I think I'll stick to managing and agitating the crowd (I blatantly stole the whistle gimmick from Bill Alphonso, it drives them nuts) and it's a lot more fun and less painful.:D
