A half hour of matches interspersed with fan footage.  This is a fucking gold mine.   I'll take the one on the left.

I’ll take the one on the right - no doubt in my mind she would’ve let you poke the ol’ turd cutter and then back to the promised land again.

Wow!!! What an incredible time capsule. How come everyone back then spoke so eloquently? I think Paul Boesch was a college graduate. Even the hillbilly fans were well spoken. Thanks for posting this.

Being "on camera" was a big deal back then.

Paul Boesch: "Most fans will say, 'Well they sure don't wrestle the way they did when I was a boy.' but they forget that they don't do anything the way they did when he was a boy"

Jim Cornette: "That vanilla midget Paul Boesch killed wrestling."

Seriously, I love the way Boesch tried to logically explain the lack of rules in a kayfave way while getting in a shoot dig at fans who say they want to see scientific wrestling but then only pay to see bloody brawls.

The chick who is on the right was giggly and effervescent. And then talked about talking to the boys: They’re not gods, they are people like the rest of us”. I would bet she was a Rat with a capital R.

She was also asked how long she had been coming to the wrestling matches and she snarkily said 2 minutes.  Her friend said 2 years.

I think she said, "2 months" not "2 minutes".  Young people back then didn't do snark.  Especially fine, wholesome, Dixie chicks.

Can you imagine a documentary today including that woman's story about being raped by a jogger?  It would never happen.

KGB wrote: Can you imagine a documentary today including that woman's story about being raped by a jogger?  It would never happen.  You mean the older lady who was attacked by a "colored" guy? I wonder how true it was. Either she's a woman who should be shown the greatest empathy even 48 years later, or she's a dyed in the wool racist who probably does all the seamstress work for her husband's KKK chapter. Like with most things, it probably falls somewhere in the middle. I kinda felt really bad for her.

Another "interesting" character was the young guy with glasses near the beginning. He started off perfectly fine coming off as a quiet, studious guy who enjoys his nights out watching wrestling. But in no time he turned into the kind of guy you would never ask to watch your cats if you're gone on a weekend road trip. I love Texans.

The deeper I got into that video the more I was wondering what you were watching. Those fans all seemed like they were on a day pass from the local insane asylum.

That's because you have an inherent hatred of good, god-fearing people from the South.

I’m just relieved to see that Houston hasn’t changed at all in 50 years.
